My boy usually likes just pepperoni and not much else on his pizzas. This time though, he wanted to try both pizzas. So we each got a couple of pieces from each (again, very small pizzas). He tried the pepperoni first and then the “everything pizza” (D’Oro) as he called it. He thought the pepperoni was okay, but the D’Oro was much better. I had to agree with him. The flavor wasn’t there where it needed to be for the pepperoni and with the mix of flavors on the D’Oro…it was definitely better. The pizzas are more of a thin crust (which I’m good with since I like thin crust…you get more flavor that way).
All in all, the pizzas were well cooked and had a good flavor. I’d say more sauce is needed (it was pretty thinly laid on it) and bigger pizzas. Also, need to look at getting wings. A pepperoni was $12 and the D’Oro was $15. Would I get it again…for the price probably not. They do offer a military discount.
The crust is perfectly balanced—light, airy, and beautifully blistered with just the right amount of char. The sauce tastes fresh and vibrant, and the ingredients are clearly high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Every bite feels simple, clean, and absolutely delicious—exactly how I imagine pizza would be served in a small neighborhood pizzeria somewhere in Italy.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere and service make the experience even better. Warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do, the team at Forno D’Oro delivers more than just a meal—they deliver an experience.
If you’re looking for authentic, unforgettable pizza, this is the place. I may not have made it to Italy yet, but thanks to Forno D’Oro, I feel like I got a little taste of it right here.
What I got instead was border line flatbread type of crust. I get that food can’t look as great as the pictures, but when all your advertising shows one style and you’re actually selling another, it just feels deceptive.
I will say, that while the pizza wasn’t bad, it definitely was not worth the price considering how small they really are. I’d gladly pay their prices if they were an actual Neapolitan style pizza place, but I can’t recommend them in their current state. I hope they work to improve their food.
Was pretty empty when we went so the service was quick and efficient. Food came out quickly with little wait!
I ordered the D’oro and my girlfriend ordered the Margherita. Some of the best pizza we’ve had in Cartersville, flavor was good and they weren’t stingy with the toppings. I’ve had better pizza, but for the price and flavor that it had, I can’t complain one bit.
If you’re in the mood for some solid pizza, Forno D’Oro is definitely the place to visit!
