Felt like an Irish Pub for a late lunch on the way home from Colonie. Found this one with good reviews. Guinness, shepards pie, and a burger with perfect French fries. We were between lunch and dinner, but were. welcomed and well fed. Made a couple of new friends with teachers stopping in after work.

Biggest, baddest burger I have eaten in a long time. The bartender was so lovely. We dropped in after a long day of hiking and he said the kitchen was closed but they accommodated us and offered us a burger and they were delicious. Gem of a find in a cute little town. Definitely recommend. I am truly enjoyed the banter of the locals at the bar.

Stopped here with friends on the way home from the Finger Lakes and it did not disappoint! The burgers were delicious and HUGE – you could tell they were fresh, hand formed patties. Great beer and even better prices! The nice woman behind the bar who waited on us was also the one who made and cooked the burgers, she was very funny and kind. Would stop in again!

Two out of town cyclist walk into an Irish pub, Bar owner says “if you want water the hose is outside”…oh boy……a couple beers later, a delicious burger, great conversations and we rolled out wishing this was our regular hag out. Jim and his crew run this place treating everyone as regulars, you like it or not, but if you do you are for in for a treat. The burguer is no joke, simple, tasty and juicy. Good selection of brews including the world renown, accoeding to locals, Utica Club. On his 31 years on the bar business Captain Jim has seen a lot, and he will tell you about it, or you can get your water from the hose outside.

We stopped for a hamburger and a liverwurst sandwich. The food was delicious—good white bread on the sandwich and a well-grilled patty on the hamburger—and the macaroni salad was deliciously different from the usual deli stuff. It arrived quickly, too! The price was right, and it’s in the heart of town, just a hop from I-90, but away from the noise of traffic. Definitely the place to stop, when you’re passing through. And T here’s Guinness on tap, if you’re not just passing through!

Staff were friendly, food was good, atmosphere was awesome – very busy for a Thursday lunch. Only down fall was they are cash only and there were no signs until we went to pay. Would have been nice to know in advance.

Awesome burger & onion rings the real Deal here no frozen stuff..quick service & friendly. Definitely would go agin. Just FYI there is nothing fancy here it’s a bit dated / dive bar feel. Go anyway you won’t be disappointed
