Wow what a takeaway. Easy the best one I’ve had in the north west. Very friendly staff and quick service. The food is spot on, been there twice now and working my way through the menu. Can’t wait to go there again !

Best takeaway in Carlisle by far. Massive portions, extensive menu to choose from, and clearly a business that knows its stuff. Exceptionally tasty food at a very decent price, and arrives quickly despite the enormous menu to choose from. We order the bunker meal deal for two, which is the image attached (couldn’t fit in the extra poppadoms and garlic naan in the photo!) Cannot recommend enough.

Just very bland, stodgy, greasy bang average food. Curry kingdom have set the standards in Carlisle. This place comes nowhere near. We only ordered from here because Curry Kingdom wasn’t open until later and we couldn’t wait.

Ordered food from the delivery app Just Eat. The food was really good in taste except for the Seekh kebab (which was included in the Gurkha platter ) being too salty. Gurkha platter was sufficient for two( includes 2 piece fried momos, 2 piece chicken tikka, 2 piece lamb tikka , 2 piece fried wings, 2 piece fish tikka, 1 long piece Seekh kebab ). Special fried rice and Pineapple rice was a different experience to the taste buds from the ordinary styles available. Paneer masala was great as well. Really great for money spent.
Suggestion : They could reduce the amount of oil in their Rice dishes.

We were looking for a new Indian takeaway in Carlisle after being so disappointed with others I care not to mention.
After reading the good reviews we decided to give gurkha a pop.
Wow incredible flavours your palet will burst.
Fast delivery and as I could not finish it I saved some for my Sunday breakfast.
It tasted even better cold.
This takeaway has to be the best Indian food as far as I’m concerned in our great city of Carlisle.
Can’t wait until our next experience.
I had the ceylon with chicken tikka and mushroom rice. The wife had the Indian munchie box so delicious I kid you not.
