The Chef Garza
Mountain Mike’s hits the spot when you’re craving pizza. The crust is crispy but still soft in the middle, the toppings are always fresh, and they don’t skimp on the cheese. The pepperoni curls up perfectly, giving that crunchy edge that makes every bite addictive. The staff was friendly and the place was clean, which made for a good dine-in experience. The only reason I didn’t give it a full five stars is that the wait time was a little longer than expected—but honestly, the pizza was worth it. Definitely one of my go-to spots for pizza night.

Saw this place open up the other week and we finally decided to roll in and give it a try. The menu had a ton of options, but we went with the Pineapple Chicken Luau pizza and some Garlic Not-Knots. Just a heads-up, the pizza does take some time to cook, so if you’re impatient, consider yourself warned. That said, the quality was absolutely top-notch. The pizza was phenomenal, and the Garlic Not-Knots were insanely good as well.
One thing I do want to mention is the front-of-house staff. It felt like they wanted to be helpful, but the follow-through wasn’t quite there. We were missing our sauces, and although a staff member said they would bring it over, they didn’t, so I had to go up and get it myself. Not a huge issue for me personally, but I know other customers and reviewers have pointed out similar concerns. It’s a new place with a new team, and these things happen. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt.
At the end of the day, the food was amazing, and that’s what matters most. I’ll update this review as time goes on. To end, finally, we’ve found a new pizza spot we’ll be visiting regularly.
Update: We returned today to try takeout which considering there is a small wait for the food it was effortless and easy to order. One thing that we just learned is that they make their own pepperoni here.

The staff does not monitor how long the pizza sits out. The pizza was disgusting. It was all dried out. They made several specialty pizza. There were no regular pizzas, with just sausage or just peperoni. Several customers were complaining that they can’t eat all the stuff on the specialty pizza. We said we don’t eat olives. They put jalapenos on the garlic bread. It was gross. There was a Hispanic guy at the register on Jan 13 at 1pm. He was not very friendly. He never once smiled. He spent the entire time playing on his phone. He is very lazy. The Asian guy is a hard worker. He was making the pizza’s. He kept the salad bar nice and clean. He was more friendly towards the customers. They need to put up some blinds or curtains. It is really hot inside!

The management and service at the store absolutely sucks! I’ve ordered from here five times and every time the food is at least 10 minutes later than what they say it will be. They never apologize, they don’t care. I would go anywhere else but here! Not to mention, in the 25 minutes I waited here for one pizza. The place is empty and absolutely filthy! Employees are standing around doing nothing.

We decided to try and were not disappointed. We were a little skeptical to be honest. We ordered the Pikes Peak pizza, loaded Mountain Fries, Garlic Not-Knots with sides of ranch and marinara. Our to-go order was wrapped really well. It’s very different and hard to compare to other pizza companies, but we found this to be amazing. Really really good. Definitely worth a try. We’ll be regulars.

Tonight while traveling through Las Vegas my family and I decided to have Mountain Mike’s pizza. I cant tell you what an amazing experience we had. The store was clean and well kept even though they were obviously busy. Hannah and May made our evening better. We weren’t sure what we wanted so the girls gave helpful suggestions and we ended up with a delicious meal. We will definitely be back to see these young ladies and for dinner.

I’m sorry to say that this is by far the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The place was clean and not at all busy for a 1:00 pm midweek. I went for the pizza buffet. There were 4 pizzas under warming lights that had no signage as to what type they were. I was hungry and took 2 small slices . One was a dessert pizza of some sort, that you could not tell by looking at it. The other had jalapenos and what I believe to be sausage. Just awful! It tasted like it had been sitting under hot lights for hours. Very dried out, sauce was non existent. After a while a few newly baked came out. Again, no signage as to what type. Shockingly, they didn’t have a basic cheese pizza in the buffet. Most had what appeared to be pepperoni and maybe bacon, maybe sausage, maybe ground beef? Don’t waste your money. You can get a better slice at Costco across the street.

When wanting a Non-Fast Food type of Pizza Place, Mountain Mike’s is the place to go. Keeping that old school sit down style pizza joint atmosphere where you can watch a game on one of their many big screens, or just good ol family time. There specialty pizzas are definitely unique and don’t break the bank. All their salad bar ingredients are clean and fresh too!

First time ordering Mountain Mikes in Nevada. We ordered delivery. The pizza was good, the garden salad not so much. When I opened the container it looked so yummy. Then I put it in a bowl to mix it up. The lettuce on the bottom was slimy turning brown. There was brown water at the bottom of the container. The tomatoes and cucumbers mushy. The cut ends of broccoli florets brown and it was wilted. I’d say far from fresh. First off it’s a small salad for $12.00, then to have it be old and going bad.

We ordered at 2:50 pm for dine-in and were given an estimated wait time of 15 minutes. By 3:23 pm, we had to go to the counter to ask about our order. When we finally received the pizza, it was cold, which suggests it had been sitting in the pickup area for some time.
We usually love Mountain Mike’s and have never had an issue before, but this experience was very disappointing and fell well below expectations. Please do better MM!!
