Started over 40 years ago as a family-owned and operated business, the story began when the family moved from Texas to Seattle, and decided to start a business making chicken like they used to back home. Lewis and the family saw their mission as simple: Provide fresh & high quality chicken and good homemade side dishes, served with fast and courteous service. In short, Ezell’s Famous Chicken had to be Fresh, Good and Fast! Ezell’s has become a household name in Seattle and developed a loyal following throughout the PNW. Ordered food for pick up on 1/15/26 and had to call back to adjust the time. The friendliest and courteous man who answered the phone assured me all was well. The chicken was hot, juicy and tender, rolls were delicious and sides of Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes tasted like Moms. We will be back soon. We want to support a locally owned company.

After hearing about all the raves about your chicken, l went and picked up more than enough for 2 people. I dont understand how you have received such good reviews. The chicken was ridiculously dry that it that we could not eat it. The sides were cold. We live less than a mile from this location so no excuse for cold food. Ordered on-line for pick up. Staff was friendly, and greeted me when I arrived. Order was ready. Ordered 8 piece family meal, spicy chicken. Chicken was cooked perfectly, gravy was good (have been here many times when gravy was thin and not much flavor). Rolls were great.
As mentioned earlier, we’ve ordered food here many times, with inconsistent results. This was by far best food in a while.

Yesterday I ordered the 3 piece spicy tenders & small order of fries. 1 of the tenders was half the size of the other 2 pieces which were also small so basically I got 2 for the price of three. The girls were friendly, one of the female cooks looked angry & pissed off the whole time I was waiting. The fries were fabulous!! I’ll give another try & if better update my review to reflect.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming–they even know me by name, which makes the experience feel personal. The eight-piece chicken is consistently excellent, flavorful, and well prepared.

I ordered a pound of tenders, and they only gave me a half a pound and I didn’t notice until I got home. Chicken wasn’t all that great.And mashed potatoes and gravy was basic.yuck the only thing that was good was a roll. Add the peach cobbler was okay. I’m just happy I didn’t get sick afterwards.

I eat at Ezells AT LEAST three times a week!! I always get my food from the Kent location. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience and the food is always great. Let me put it like this. THE FOOD TASTES SO GOOD IT’LL MAKE YOUR TOUNGUE SLAP YOUR BRAINS OUT!!!!

Kent, WA location manager said her name is Naomi. I tried to explain to her the chicken she sold is old, dry and cold. She tried to blame door dash and told me she can’t do anything and contact them. I told her it’s not DoorDash. It’s her restaurant she manages and decided to sell chicken cooked hours ago. I will be contacting head office tomorrow as soon as they open. This manager is very uneducated in safe food handling. And needs to be trained before someone gets sick. Very disappointed and will never order from this restaurant again. Photo attached of the disgusting chicken we received. And she says it was fresh????? Very rude and zero knowledge in the food industry.
