JUST ordered takeout from this location. Ordered three combo meals, two of which were 3 piece tenders with one side. My husband ordered mac and cheese with his meal, I ordered coleslaw. They put BOTH combos into one box, didn’t give us any dipping sauces, and didn’t give my husband his side. This was us giving Popeye’s another chance after SEVERAL bad experiences EXACTLY LIKE THIS at another location, which has since closed down. Lost me for life with this last one.

Horrible experience. Inexperienced workers that make many mistakes. Very disappointed. My pregnant wife ordered regular tenders & they gave her spicy. They ruined her dinner & she did not end up eating any of it. Pay attention to details! People pay with hard working money for you to mess up our dinner & ruin the end of the day. AVOID

I placed an online order for pick up and the items they have online are not even on the menu in store. The food was also average; not hot but cold and we ate the food within 3 minutes of leaving the restaurant.
It is clean inside which is nice; hopefully it stays like this for a while. Understaffed too; the workers are working the back, the drive through, the kitchen, and the front.

A lot of people complain about the speed of service at this location, but you can’t always expect your food to come out in the time frame that you want it to. It’s obvious that they are short-handed at this location, but that is something that happens at fast food places and restaurants in General sometimes.. Sometimes people call in sick, sometimes people quit on the day that they’re supposed to be scheduled, other things happen that’s all a part of the restaurant game.. But even though they are short-handed, the whole crew works very hard to push out orders which isn’t always easy, especially at a busy location like this. The manager Ariana I believe her name is, not only does she manage the place by delegating, she also jumps it’s in the fire to help her crew when they are busy. Her whole crew did a outstanding job to the best of their ability.

Terrible service the chicken is never fresh taste like it was sitting for hours black lady manager working at 8pm 11/22/25. Yells at me and my kids all because I asked if the chicken was fresh she very rude and hostile towards customers. And the food will get you sick the way she is serving it I won’t ever go here again imperial Beach pops chicken is just terrible don’t go especially if she is there working you will be at lost for your money and sick to your stomach

When this location first opened up I was very impressed with the food and service. I started noticing a decline in food quality and service about 1 year or more ago. Especially in service, the customer service has taken a nose dive. When I go to a restaurant customer service is one of my biggest pet peeves. The experience make the food so much better even if it’s just so so.. Due to the customer service at this restaurant I most likely will never come back. It was cool while it lasted. Take care Popeyes and wish the owner luck in finding better employees or train them better.

I spent 30 min in the drive through one day. I ordered my food, but 30 min later they handed me a wrong order. When I mentioned it, the cashier disappeared. A few minutes later shes banging on my window threatening to call the cops if I dont get out of the drive thru.

A new Popeye’s chicken restaurant. Very good food. For some reason, when searching Google maps for Popeye’s chicken restaurant, it didn’t show up, Google tried to direct me to another location further down the street. So I added it but perhaps there is a glitch in the system.
