This place is the highlight of my 7-day road trip. The restaurant has a very spacious vibe with a mix of rustic and modern. Art is all over the place and it adds to the cool and welcoming atmosphere.

The staff is AWESOME. They are kind and friendly with energy. Veronica was serving, and she was great. She was very good with questions and was very accommodating of needs and wants. Kudos to you, Veronica!

Let’s get to the food already! The unique thing about this restaurant is their 100% plant-based food. It’s the only type of food. (Well there was a limited time special item that wasn’t 100% plant, but that’s beside the point) They also have plenty of gluten-free options and accommodations. As someone with food allergies, this was great as there aren’t many places that offer such options.

As for the food itself, I was a bit skeptical about vegan alternative food, but since this was their specialty I decided to try 1 GF slider and a veggie rice bowl. Again they are 100% plant based, so the meat is plant, the mayo is vegan also, and such.
I say that the sliders are delicious! Despite being plant-based and tasting different to actual meat, it tasted very good. There is such thing as good vegan food after all!
The veggie bowl is not as amazing because it’s more standard, but it tasted good with a little more salt. I was satisfied with the roasted veggies they used or “roasties” as they call it.

Overall, Stardust Bistro is a wonderful place, for vegans and the gluten-free and if I manage to end up in Lead again I would make sure to drop by again!

Excellent food, groovy atmosphere, a breath of fresh air. Very nice staff. We loved the vegan quiche, bison in a blanket, and the hand pies. These wonderful humans know how to create a cool space and make very yummy food. Love the waffles, sliders, bison blankies, quiche, among other options.

As 20-year residents, we REALLY wanted to like this place as there are so few in Lead. We ordered bison brisket (dried out), bison burrito (I saw more carrots, etc, in there than bison) and a veg. seafood sandwich (hearts of palm—tasty but tiny). And the accompanying fried potatoes were hard and undercooked. It was very disappointing, especially due to the high prices. I also was surprised to see only bison offered for us meat eaters. (Veg/vegan menu seemed to be larger.)

As to the positive, the decor is arty and unique. The staff were friendly. I’m glad to see that they also have musicians at times, which would be a welcome addition to the town. We wish them well; as fellow business owners we know how hard it is. We may come try it one more time—reviews on breakfast seem to be good.

Holy smokes we have to talk about this place!! I’ve tried their quiche and their buttered noodles are divine and filling even without the added protein sources you can add. Today I tried the strawberry chocolate whipped cream waffles and to put it mildly they were the best waffles I’ve ever eaten. A major plus is the variety of choices for sustainable meat and plant-based, super chill vibe, and great owners. Do not sleep on this place!!!

We were visiting from out of town and were excited to see this plant-based restaurant in Lead. The food did not disappoint: the pesto pasta was delicious, as were the roasties (roasted veggies)! The restaurant decor was also very fun and playful. We will be going back the next time we’re in town!

As vegetarians, we were thrilled to find this place in Lead. P had the buttered noodles, and D had the seitan sliders with parmesan fries. Both meals were delicious. The interior of the restaurant is lovely; so much art to look at, and very inviting. We will definitely be back.

True plant based restaurant with high quality ingredients. I had the breakfast tacos with home made salsa and my husband had the oatmeal. The coffee was great and the food was very good. I plan to go back to try other menu items
