Hands down the most disgusting, messy, nastiest Subway I have EVER been in. The young lady had long braids that weren’t tied back, there was food everywhere, she kept asking me the SAME question over and over. The bread I asked for clearly wasn’t done, and when I asked for something else she gave me the wrong thing. The drink machine looked like it was in a war with pieces of it broken off. This used to be a really nice Subway, but right about now it needs to close if this is how it’s going to operate.

I have been a patron of this store before as it was the closest Subway. I have also come here much more recently for deliveries. I tolerated my first encounter with them as a delivery driver despite the rudeness of the male employee as if I have inconvenienced him by having to pick up an order that a customer has already paid for. My second encounter was not much better. The man behind the counter was incredibly rude. He asked me who I was picking up for then rudely cut me off as I tried to give the names and told me five more minutes. There were two other customers that had fairly uncomplicated orders but this man didn’t bother to help his female coworker complete the orders. I kept track of the time and it took her about ten minutes to complete the order as the man stood in the back doing absolutely nothing. The fem employee was pleasant enough but the male employees in this place are plain rude and have no sense of customer service. Thank you to the fem employee. I’m sorry that you have to carry the burden of having to deal with coworkers like that. I would never patronize this place again. If you hate customer service, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it.

Customer service is a very important aspect to any business. However, on this day it seemed that component was lacking at customer level and employee to another employee. One of the older employees was being very down on here new employee and rushing customers along and almost refused a older lady of completing a larger sub count order. The store was lined out of door.
This all being said maybe during rush hour times maybe more employees should be on clock to help with prep, serving, and helping customers with there orders.
A overlook of this should be done to ensure and friendly, safe and clean but effective store operation.

Maybe you all need more employees. Its 1 person here saying that this small uber eats delivery / pickup going to be 10 mins to make. Someone else came in to order and he told him the line will be down for 1 hour, I guess so he can play catch up. Yall losing money rejecting customers. ♀️

I usually try not to take things personally, even when service is off but today was just bizarre. I was asked to wait multiple times with weird delays, and it honestly felt like they were going out of their way to avoid helping me although I was the only person in the store. I knew what I wanted, I was polite, but it felt like I wasn’t welcome. I’ve had iffy experiences at this location before, but this one sealed it.
I’ll be going out of my way to the Woodward location in Berkeley from now on – it’s like night and day. Just sharing in case anyone else has left here wondering, ‘Was that just me?’ Nope. Very unpleasant.

Two guys behind the counter were pointing at me and looking at me whilst whispering to each other, clearly making some kind of comment about me right in front of me. I highly doubt it was kind, given their attitudes. Multiple other reviews talk about the staff being rude and insulting towards customers too – even one stating the exact same thing as mine. Whispering about me and staring at me while I waited to order. I had not even had the chance to greet them yet, so it couldn’t have been about something I said. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional and just plain mean. I will never go back to this subway. Get staff who know how to act like human beings, this isn’t a hard job.
Edit: The sandwich was also disappointing. Dry stale bread, rusty lettuce, not enough of anything on it. Yeah, don’t go here.

Do not go here, worst service of any subway. Did a online order and when I walked in the woman behind the counter was talking on the phone and when handed my order she just mumbled at me( never heard the damn thing she said). Paid for double meat(didn’t get) and my wife’s sub was completely wrong. How hard do you have to fail at life to not be able to even make a sub right? Probably why you work at a subway in oak park.
