I was raised in Altadena, so my deli experiences all come from NY (Huge Yankee fan).
This was my second visit and both were great. The owner and staff are friendly, polite and have great customer service skills. On this visit I had the pastrami egg rolls. A nice twist on a classic and a very tasty one at that. Crisp shell and well prepared pastrami inside, along with the vegetables. The other dishes behind the display case look tasty and I look forward to returning.

Best kosher take-out food in the area. They are only open on Thursdays and Fridays. They have a lot of great food options. Their schnitzel and hot pastrami are my go to favorites. Friendly staff, as well.

Super fantastic to have Passover food to buy right at a store and it just tasted fantastic great. The price is pretty high but again kosher food is expensive usually and kosher for Passover then extra expensive as you only clean and prep food for 7 days a year.

I’m so impressed with Lieders! I had planned a weekend away and ordered their Shabbat box for pickup. Living in the Valley, I drove into the city to pick it up and was heading straight to my destination. Unfortunately, due to an accident and heavy traffic, we realized we wouldn’t make it in time for candle lighting. Frustrated and disappointed, we turned back home and unpacked everything.
As I was going through the box, I was blown away by the amount of food, the beautiful presentation, and the thoughtful packaging. It was all set up so well. While putting things away, I noticed the cholent was missing. Already feeling frustrated from the day, I called Lieders to ask about it — and to my surprise, they immediately offered to deliver the cholent all the way to Tarzana!
I’m beyond impressed by their customer service, kindness, and the overall quality of what I received. I can’t wait to taste all the amazing food. Lieders truly goes above and beyond!

The food is very good, but the prices are extremely high. They have some tasty morsels available, but are only open Thursdays and Fridays.
This is secretly a great place to grab a quick bite on Thursday afternoons.
