We ordered Herm’s Smokehouse for our Christmas catering, and the brisket was absolutely amazing. The meat was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with smoky flavor honestly some of the best brisket we’ve ever had. It was a huge hit with our entire family, and people kept going back for seconds (and thirds!).
Everything about the experience was great from the quality of the food to how easy the ordering process was. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Herm’s Smokehouse made our holiday meal extra special, and we’ll definitely be ordering again for future events. Highly recommend!

Absolute hidden gem for anyone passing through! Even though they are drive-thru only, the owner went above and beyond to find us a spot to sit and made us feel like locals. The brisket is the star here—super flavorful, moist, and so tender you can skip the BBQ sauce entirely, though the sauce itself is excellent. Don’t miss the mac n cheese (insanely creamy) or the potato salad, which has a great chunky texture without being over-seasoned. I typically don’t like tea but you have to try the hibiscus tea; it’s refreshing and tastes more like a fruit juice. We even got to see a commercial being filmed, sorry had to include that picture too!

I stopped by Herm’s BBQ in Los Fresnos this past Saturday and had one of the best experiences ever. Even after breakfast hours, Victor went out of his way to serve me a brisket on a bun — and it was incredible! Tender, smoky, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find service that genuine these days. Big thanks to Victor and the Herm’s BBQ team for going above and beyond — y’all made my day!

It is fantastic , we enjoyed the sausage and the beef , so tender and juicy. It was really a wonderful meal . The price is reasonable.

First timers to Herm’s, and wow, we were amazed! Best BBQ we’ve had in Texas. “Last Supper” menu item was awesome – brisket on a tortilla topped with smoked sausage and bacon wrapped smoke jalapeno poppers. And the smoked chicken quarters (only on Sundays) are the best I’ve ever had. Prices very reasonable, and service at the drive thru was very friendly. Just wish they had a dining room. Plan on taking it home to eat.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. We drove 30 minutes from South Padre Island just to eat here. Well worth it! Fantastic food and Herms customer service is “over -the-top” fantastic. Brisket was amazing, chicken was delicious, and the poppers were perfect. We arrived during a slow time and Herm set up a patio table for us. Different than we were expecting (we didn’t know it was a drive through with small patio), but a fantastic experience start to finish! Well done Herm. Loved the food and your kindness is a credit to your faith! Everything we had hoped!

Just stopped and pickup up a quick bite. Mind you that its a Drive-thru only. Attentive service though. Ordered the $13 Last Supper Taco – no combo. Asked for extra pickles but instead I got no condiments at all. Charged $14.50 on 1 slice of brisket taco… that was delicious nevertheless!

We popped in and found a small barbecue shack. No sitting inside. You go to a window and order and they bring the food to you. Mostly I believe it’s a takeout place. However, the food was fantastic, large portions,the service was fantastic and they so friendly. They did find a patio for us to sit on and eat which was private and wonderful. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed at all. We will definitely pop in to this small shack next time we’re in the area.

My wife and I came here for lunch. We ordered The Taste of Herms, which came with a leg quarter, rice, beans, sausage, and brisket. The food was alright, the beans were bland and the brisket was dry. I’m more disappointed in the portion size. We only got one 6in piece of brisket and a small piece of sausage. We paid $20 for the plate, I think that’s a little overpriced considering what we got. We also got the banana pudding for $5 that the gentleman recommended. I don’t think it was worth $5, but it looked good. When we opened it, it had a hair on the lid :(. Overall, the food tasted ok, I thought the leg quarter and rice were okay, but the amount of food that we got doesn’t justify spending $27 for the two items.
