I tried a couple of Indian restaurants in Dunedin but didn’t enjoy food. Last night my friend and his family invited me to join them for dinner. They knew the owner we’ll. The owner and the waitress are really nice people. We ordered 5 dishes, all tasted yummy. I loved Saag Aaloo. Highly recommended indian restaurant.

Still I can’t believe it. $12.50 for a biriyani and it really fills the tummy. The cheapest, delicious tummy full food that I have ever had in New Zealand. Great value of money. If you are in Dunedin and looking for the cheapest delicious restaurant, I will definitely vouch for it. There are a wide variety of food selections here. Good customer service as well. Must visit fellas!!

I had never been here before until last night. I ordered Butter Chicken and a cheese and garlic naan. I shared this with my children and we all were very disappointed! The rice wasn’t cooked properly, there was barely any chicken, the sauce didn’t taste anything like an authentic butter chicken sauce, my son and I agree the sauce put us right off, it was disgusting. The naan barely had any cheese and was quite burnt. If I could give no stars I would. I will never be ordering from there again which is unfortunate because had it been good, it would have become a regular family favourite close to home. The only compliment I can give was the customer service from the lady at the front taking the orders. I paid $24.40 which is quite expensive for such a disappointing meal. What a shame the standard of the food didn’t match the customer service.

Finally gave it another go after a bad experience a number of years ago, and I do have to say it was quite delicious. Asked for it to be spicy and it possibly could have done with a little more heat, but to most people it would have been plenty. The portion size is quite generous, definitely enough for most people to have leftovers the next day. Curry was nice and thick and full of flavour, and the Naan was a decent size and cooked perfectly. I’ll definitely be returning a lot sooner next time.
