First time in this really nice and authentic restaurant. Prices were fair and food was outstanding. I don’t usually eat a lot of meat in the Netherlands since it’s difficult to find a good quality pork, I was so surprised by this place. We will definitely come back to try different dishes!

This is a small restaurant in a residential area of Delfshaven, run by two gents who know what Mexican food should taste like.
There’s some seating outside, a few seats inside at the front, and another bunch of tables tucked away upstairs.
This is certainly not the most romantic restaurant, but if you’re looking for some spectacular Mexican food, and some lovely hospitality, this is the place for a great lunch or dinner.

We ordered tacos a total of 15 tacos for 85 euro. Having been in Mexico the corn tacos were just a paste of black beans and then flattened. Not tacos patties as a Mexican or American would classify them. For street tacos like in Mexico City these taco won’t make the cut. You could not hold these tacos in your fingers the patty was to small. Why not just import corn tacos from mexico and server those instead of this bean corn mixture.
The taste was not authentic and also not gormet but that is OK we are in Holland but the amount of food for 80 euro was pathetic.
I will need to go back to Taco Bell to eat because your food was just not enough.

The food was amazing. Really tasty and home made. The staff is friendly and hardworking. One of the best Mexican restaurant in Rotterdam if not the best.
I really recommend to go and enjoy the experience.

The food and service here are incredible! With a Mexican dad, I rarely go to Mexican restaurants due to my picky tastes, but this was incredible! The flavors were sublime. I’d highly recommend going with a group, ordering different sets of tacos, and trying all of them ✨

We visited this restaurant while on holiday in Rotterdam and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were great fun and really added to the enjoyment of the evening, making us feel relaxed and well looked after. A memorable dining experience that we’d happily recommend.

I have lived in México for some years and my wife is Mexican, so I can say without any doubt that at Don Lopez I really felt at home: this is the authentic taste of México, tacos are superb with home made tortillas and home made sauces. Also the guacamole is very good. Staff is mexican and very friendly. I will come back again for sure to try other platillos!

A bit of waiting time because no one was at the counter, a bell could be handy.
Also wet wipes to clean your hand could be useful, after eating with your hands a delicious saucy taco.
