Chai Bar is an absolute hidden gem! This was my second time ordering, and I couldn’t be happier. The first time the food was so good I forgot to leave a review, but I made sure to this time. I ordered the beef tenderloin and chicken tenderloin with sweet rice, and once again, it was incredible—so delicious, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s truly one of the best places I’ve discovered, and if you’re even considering trying it, do yourself a favor and go. I’m so happy I found this spot and will definitely continue supporting this amazing business. On top of the fantastic food, the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I really wish I could give more than 5 stars because this place deserves it!

This small family-owned restaurant serving authentic Persian dishes is worth driving to, even if you live on the other side of town (even Watertown where there’s no shortage of good Middle Eastern restaurants). The food here is out of this world! We had an eggplant appetizer, pomegranate lamb kebobs and a beef stew. It was a memorable hearty meal with deep sophisticated flavors, cooked and served with love – a perfect remedy for a freezing snowy evening. We’ll be back to try more dishes!

I just had to leave a review because this Persian restaurant was amazing! The kebabs were some of the best I’ve ever had — super juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. We also ordered a few appetizers and they were all fresh and delicious.
What really made it special was the service. She was so friendly and made us feel right at home. You can really tell they care about their customers and love what they do.
If you’re craving good Persian food and want to be treated like family, definitely check this place out. I’m already planning my next visit!

The whole experience from start to finish was great . Staff are so friendly and caring. The food cant get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Legitimately the best Iranian restaurant around Massachusetts. They start with a small bowl of warm, delicious soup. I had beef kabob with pomegranate and walnuts. Very juicy and delicious. We had a party of eleven people. All of us were happy and satisfied at the end. Definitely will go back.

My mom and I came to Boston to see an oncologist for her stage 4 breast cancer. We came to this restaurant hoping to feel a bit more at home — and that’s exactly what we found. When the host, Nasim, asked why we were visiting, we shared our story, and she insisted that we not pay as a sign of good luck. She was so incredibly generous and spent so much time talking with us and comforting us.
Beyond her kindness, the food was absolutely delicious. We’re Gilaki, and this is the only restaurant in Massachusetts that serves Northern Iranian dishes like the olive dip and kabob torsh. The meat was cooked perfectly — tender and flavorful — and the homemade yogurt drink and fluffy rice were excellent as well.
I highly recommend the Filet Mignon for a more savory dish and the Kabob Torsh for a slightly sweeter and nutty option. The restaurant itself has a warm, cozy atmosphere, and you can truly feel that it’s family-run.
While the food was terrific, it was their generosity and kindness that made this experience unforgettable.

Amazing Persian food. Highly recommend. We got lamb and koobideh both were very good. Also the type of rice is very good and different!

The ash (Persian noodle soup) was mintier than I’ve had before but still delicious. The group loved the pomegranate chicken, and we requested orange peel rice instead of the typical saffron rice. The dish was too sweet to eat individually but great to share.
We also ordered mirza ghasemi, gormeh sabzi, and gheymeh. In my opinion, the mirza ghasemi was the least flavorful, though one of my friends loved it! It was the first time my friends were trying Persian food, and they commented on the unique and distinctive flavors.
The waitress, who appeared to be the owner, was busy with a catering order but still made efforts to engage with us and ensure we were well taken care of. She suggested calling ahead next time to check if the kitchen has a catering order so that we could have an even better experience. I definetly want to return to try the lamb shank!
Prices are reasonable, and free street parking is available on a nearby side street.

I think we found one of the best Persian restaurants in Greater Boston. We ordered Mirza Ghasemi, olive, and beef Torsh. Everything was amazing—each dish tasted perfect. They are very friendly and I’d give them a call before going to make sure they have everything.

You enter through the patio door, and if you play your cards right, you do so on a windy and chilly winter night where the warmth and the ambiance of this particular fine establishment floors you… I mean it is seriously COZY in here. In the best way possible! The koobideh melts in your mouth. The saffron rice was amazing. They have three different kinds of rice. Wanted to try the barberry and the olive dip. Seating was very nice. Large and clean restroom is also onsite. We celebrated NYE here and were very happy with our choice.
