This is one of my favorite cafe’s in the Lehigh Valley. There is such a nice atmosphere as you walk in. It is perfect for a quick stop, to meet up with friends, or studying. The food smells amazing and tastes even better. Staff is so kind every time i go. Always such a variety of food and specialty drinks.
I have also done a few pop-ups there. They are always super accommodating and quick to answer. This is definitely a place that cares about community. There are often many pop-ups held here weekly. They also do a children’s story time that is really cute to see and always a big hit.
If you want to go to a cafe in the area, this is the place to go and worth any drive. Definitely give it a try if you are close by and you wont stop thinking about it after you leave.

I have come to this coffee shop and always loved it. It is in a great location, right by Muhlenberg College. It has a charming interior. There is a large menu selection with seasonal items and coffees. On this visit, I had an iced shaken espresso. It was so good. When in Allentown, you should always stop here for coffee.

I felt like I was in a tv show where community comes with your hot beverage. I felt welcomed into this coffee place. I ordered a Portuguese tart and decaf pumpkin latte, so delicious. I was meeting with someone and there was a kid’s storytime and it was blue zone and in Spanish. There was benches for kids and an area for them. I wish I had this place when my kids were younger. I enjoyed the Mediterranean wrap with chips.

Jay’s local offers a few vegetarian and vegan options. You just have to ask. We were out this way to take care of some business. Decided to google local places and came across Jay’s local. This is a very pretty place in a nice area near the Allentown Whitehall area. And sits very close to Muhlenberg College. What a great atmosphere on the inside and outside, the outside they have a great seating area with a huge sidewalk and within that sidewalk, they have cut outs of nice manicured grass where you’ll find seating, on the inside not only do they have seating like regular restaurant style down the center, off to the sides they have really nice couches and stand a load seats and this is a very inviting for whatever you may have to do either to enjoy lunch, to have a meeting or to do studying as you’re seeing some of the pictures that I have. Also off to the sides you’ll see a local community board as well as some local art. This place has an excellent vibe to it. I want to thank Chef Anthony for schooling us on the ingredients that were available an our server Gio was very nice very attentive. Our food was great the veggie burger that I had was put together very well. It tasted almost like a burger You can get right out of your backyard barbecue. We also had waffle cut sweet potato fries that were freshly made and a nice spring mix salad with fresh sliced tomatoes, red onions, and a really nice vinaigrette. The croutons were fantastic, they were freshly made. I know they’re just croutons but when you have a have a freshly made crouton it’s something you will remember as I’ve had quite a few bad ones which also it’s something you remember lol , these were great! This would be a nice place to bring family and friends, and they have a wide variety of choices from baked goods to regular food items, I must make mention that this is a very wheelchair accessible location as there are curb cuts leading up to the sidewalk that is huge and on the way into the entrance, the door is very wide and the surface is flat on the way in there is no step to go up and on the inside there is plenty of space to navigate around. I like to fact that the idea of this place is really involved in the community and the surrounding businesses they support local artists and offer cooking classes workshops, just check out there nice website, there’s even a pop-up vegan pizza event every Friday from 5:30-8:00pm and Sunday from 12-6:00 pm, you’ll see the picture that I have attached. this is in partnership with by paranormal pizza.

They also have some local made sauce that i couldn’t resist and the ginger garlic was next level.

Nice, clean space. I love the book collection. They have cutesy little items that you can purchase and collect. Some toys to keep the kiddies occupied and free wifi. I love this place! The kind woman who took my order was nice. Overall, the wrap that I had was delicious and the pumpkin bruleé, yum. A nice brunch find, I would be back.

Stopped by to get a snack and coffee. Ended up with two scoops of ice cream and an ice latte. Super clean, 10/10 atmosphere, pretty extensive food menu, and pastries smelled great. Will have to come back to get a meal. Only wish they were open longer. Ice cream and outdoor seating was great on a warm summer’s day.

The aesthetic in here is sooo cute! It really gives hometown coffee shop. The menu looks really appealing. It is with so much regret that I say that I found the food to be subpar. We had the breakfast sandwich on everything bagels… The bagels were definitely not fresh. The sandwich overall was not really tasty… the potato wedges were not fresh nor did they have any flavor. We didn’t try their drinks but that looked appealing. I would go back only because it’s cute and I have to give their drink menu a shot! Customer service was nice! They brought us out free samples!

I found Jay’s local by searching for a place nearby while my mom and I were in Allentown. It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the food was fresh and satisfying, but the real stars were the incredibly kind, friendly people working there. What a nice place for that community to have. I would go back for sure if I’m back in the area.

We both got the local burger with cheese – 2 iced teas and hash browns. By far one of the best burgers I’ve eaten! Very flavorful- they have a homemade sauce on it. The staff were very friendly and the place had good vibes overall!
