We decided to stop in while we were traveling through one night. They have a buffet which includes fruits, salad, and a hot bar for $10.99, which includes a drink. It looked as if it’s been on the hot bar for a while and it was not season well. It was towards the end of the night so I’m assuming that they were not replacing the food due to closing. There also wasn’t a good selection of items on the hot bar. The first couple of items that I ordered, they didn’t have. For example: baked potatoes, fish sandwich, and ranch dressing but I was told that they would receive more food on the truck tomorrow. I finally ordered the salmon, which was extremely bland.
Overall, customer service was good and it was very clean. I do believe it was a good deal for the buffet and that we might have come on a bad night.

Lovely location. Wonderful staff. Seated quickly on a Sunday morning before church let out. Cannot give a full review, because my grandson and I were traveling back to Texas and all we had were scrambled eggs and grits, coffee and Sprite. Cost $27.00 with tip.

Stopped fir lunch on Sunday afternoon. Although they were busy, we were greeted and seated promptly. We opted for the buffet, which was clean, well stocked, and had a good variety. Everything we tried was cooked well, and delicious. Our server was attentive and overall we really enjoyed it

Was excited about going to this new Shoney’s….but it was a big disappointment!!! We had a big group of 8. There was only 2 other tables that were there. Meaning they was not busy at all. Most of us orders the buffet. It was so bad!! Not a good assortment of food. Waitress did not know what she was doing. She liked to talk to other employees instead of waiting on gust. I remember going to Shoney’s in Metairie La when I was a young lady. It was the best!! They had so much fresh food it was awesome!! I don’t know why they started changing all of Shoney’s. Style of the place look really good. But changing the food went down hill!!

Friday night seafood buffet was a tremendous waste of food not too mention my time and money.
The fish was baked way too long and seasoned too much. The fried oysters were inedible. Buttered and baked frozen shrimp? The stuffed crabs were dry and cold. I think the boiled crawfish were decent but borderline. The food was horrible let’s just skip to the service.
Our server was nice enough and attentive to our water glasses. The other female server seemed more preoccupied with going to the parking lot to text her dealer…often.
New management is needed here to rectify the personnel issues regarding drug use and the horrible food quality.
And a bar in a Shoney’s? Who thought this was a good idea? Sadly this town doesn’t offer much and this Shoney’s only helped make this a destination to avoid during my frequent treks along this boring stretch.

I was in town for training, stopped for a meal. Will never go there again. I ordered from the buffet and had 3 items, tea and a dessert. The bill was $20.17. While there children were going back and fourth touching all of the plates, bowls as well as the food. The waiter saw them but never took the plates off the bar area, never said please only touch one plate at a time, nothing was said. I’m here for one more week, but they will not get another $20.00 from this chick!

Fantastic manager. I observed him replenishing the buffet, clearing tables, manning the register, speaking to customers, managing a responsive staff, etc. I recommend the place because of him, but also it was clean and the food was yummy. I even saw them replacing food that had been on the buffet for awhile with fresh; not just dumping fresh on top of the old, but removing the old and leaving fresh. Based on our experience, I recommend this place highly.

The food was good. The lunch buffet had some good fish on it and the selection of products on the bar was pretty good. The main reason for the lack of 5 stars was the server didn’t seem to care about her job. The worst part of the visit was the kid’s menu is a coloring book but the server told us that the manager had stopped giving out crayons due to “kids coloring on the tables”. You try telling a couple kids under 5 why they have a blank coloring sheet but no crayons to color with.

Really loved the service and overall the food was delicious. However I seemed to have a problem pulling hair out of my order of the establishments famous onion rings. Not sure if they come with hair or if it belong to the employee. A good idea I guess. Won’t have to floss after that big buffet.
