The Kicking Camel Grill (KCG) provides hometown cooking in an environment that is family friendly. All recipes are original concepts or variations on favorite dishes across the country. All meals are made in house from scratch. A full service bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is also available The KCG concept fits in the casual market segment, and the ambiance has a subtle sports motif with local and national memorabilia on the walls. Executive Chef Brandon King, brings over 25 years of experience to the KCG after working in restaurants in Raleigh, Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! This place is incredible!!! The service is fast and friendly, and the food matches the amazing service! I had the deep fried burger and my husband had the death by bacon. Both were cooked perfectly! The burgers were moist and delicious! Would 100% recommend anyone to go there! They also have weekly specials and events!

Staff was great, we started with the bar and waited to order food. Tvs everywhere so seeing the game is no problem. We ordered food and was surprised how quickly it was ready. The chicken sandwich was delicious with the home made chips. But the best was banana pudding cheesecake. They do have outdoor seating also. Very nice night.

We visited this new dining venue twice this week to sample a Taco Tuesday and a Fish Friday. The name of the place is catchy, and we appreciate the nod to Campbell University. We had heard one person brag about the food, and we also had one disappointed friend share a out wing night and undercooked chicken. So, we visited to assess the food for ourselves.
The tacos are inferior to any taco we have tried, but they are selling them for $1 ( except the seafood varieties, which are $2). The sign outside the entrance lists tomatoes, lettuce, and onions as options for the taco contents. Our waitress told us that the only embellishments were corn, shredded cheese, and cilantro. So, ignore the sign.
The beef taco is heavily salted, and my partner prefers salty food. But theses were briney. The shrimp are the teeny shrimp offered in Safeway shrimp salad…no flavor. The flounder taco was tasty because the fish batter was well seasoned. But I missed tartar sauce. And hold the corn on fish, please!
On Fish Friday, the steak was tasty, and the sides of mashed potatoes and Cole slaw were good, but not outstanding. The fried flounder batter was thin and savory, so the taste was good for fish that had been frozen.
The waitress on Friday was very approachable and engaging. The waitress on Tuesday was lacking energy and not as friendly.
We have not discovered the menu item that should make return customers yet. Maybe the burgers and beer will help sustain the new business.
Efforts are in place to entertain the late dinner crowd with karaoke,music bingo, and corner crooners. Again, the alcohol may be the key to make happy customers.
We need more eateries in Harnett County, so I hope they develop a specialty that belongs in the food excellence catalogue.

Like others said, I would give the Grill more than five stars, if I could! The staff and owners were very nice and provided great customer service, the food is of highest quality and delicious, and the prices are fair! They also have live music entertainment on Wednesdays and Friday through Sunday. We enjoyed the music during dinner. It was so good, that, even though we don’t live nearby, we would make a special trip just to go here. The breakfast also looks amazing! If you are anywhere near Coats NC, I suggest you make a detour and stop in.

Food was pretty good. Friendly environment. Tvs everywhere playing sports games. We ordered fried mushrooms. They had alot of breading but no seasoning. They were very bland. I had to dip them in ranch in order to eat them. I also ordered the nachos. They were really good but I didn’t like the weird cheese they used. It tasted like canned cheese and it wasn’t queso but they were still good overall. My husband ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. The fries and burger was great!!!! Burger was cooked to perfection. Juicy and delicious. Definitely going back. We are just going to skip the fried mushrooms. Definitely recommend

Food was overall underwhelming. We had the pierogi’s and Mac and cheese with brisket. For drinks we tried their jolly rancher shots. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor but was cheesy enough to enjoy. Brisket pieces were cut or shredded very long and hard to fit in our mouths. Pieces were very very fatty and hard to chew on. The pierogi’s we’re deep fried for too long and begged for more onions! Pierogi’s should be slathered in onions and pan fried ALWAYS. the shots were good.

Ordered the real Philly cheesesteak & pickle chips! Food was excellent! Cheesesteak was tasty I just think it could have used more cheese! but I asked for cheese for my frys and used it on my sub and it was great! Pickle chips were great too except next time I would get blue cheese instead of ranch! (Preference). servers were friendly and very attentive! Definitely will be coming back!!!!

The food and service was that of a 5 star restaurant!!! I ordered the potato soup; sweet habañero wingettes and steak & eggs, potatoes & a coke!!! I will drive 100 miles just to eat all of this. Bathrooms were clean as well. Parking available, only thing I didn’t like was the s’mores desert…a bit too dry for me. Overall a 10!
