What a Gem we found today!!! Saturday took a whole different vibe when we walked into this place. Although located in a strip mall you will be pleasantly surprised when you walk in!!! When I saw the word tapas, I was mentally prepared to order a lot of different food because we know how small tapas are. NOT here!! My fiancee and I ordered 3 tapas and were delighted by the presentation, the flavor and the amount! Is like a full plate! I also asked Alex, who was super welcoming and nice (and who happens to be one of the owners) what drink she would recommend since it was our first time there. She asked all the right questions and I ordered one of her two recommendations: The Bad Apple. It comes with a bubble and it will dissolve opening the door to one of my most memorable drinks! This place does not serve small drinks, it was a big glass but perfect amount. Now let’s talk about the food . The sliders will change your opinion about burgers because the meat has this unique, delicious flavor that makes you forget is a mini burger. The braised short ribs melted in our mouth and the sweet potato puree was just a ticket to heaven (literally)! The lamb lollipops are 3 pieces that will definitely make you want to eat more and more. The place has about 13 tables elegantly set up, the staff is highly knowledgeable and super nice. The One Tapas & Bar will see us there more often because they check all my boxes of what I look for when I want to eat great food, enjoy a good ambiance, and receive excellent customer and last but not least, very affordable price. I Highly recommend this place and adding them to your favorites !

This place was such a pleasant surprise! When we first pulled up I was a bit underwhelmed since it’s located in a strip mall but once inside I was like “Ooo, this is nice!”
Service & Ambiance:
Alice was attentive and her recommendations were spot on she didn’t steer us wrong. The ambiance is perfect for a date night cozy, chic, and inviting.
Drinks:
The craft cocktails were well balanced and full of flavor.
Food:
For a tapas bar the portions were generous. We had the charcuterie board, oxtail empanadas, and fried burrata all 10/10! The short ribs were flavorful and tender (slightly on the salty side but the sweet potato balanced it perfectly). We finished with the creme brulee, and honestly it was the best I’ve ever had.
We can’t wait to come back!

The One Tapas has a nice selection of small portions to taste a few or a lot of what’s on their menu. It was different from your traditional style restaurant. It’s a place you should try. The Pistachio Cheese Cake was Awesome.

This is one of the best restaurants in this area of Charlotte. The service was top notch. We were greeted warmly by Alice and she engaged with us kindly throughout our dinner. Her recommendations were with on. We appreciated the fact that she didn’t point us to the priciest items on the menu as most people do.
We had mushrooms, mussels, Octopus and Lamb Kabab. Every dish was delicious. We ended the experience with the flourless chocolate cake. All in all a great dinner experience.

Absolutely amazing place! The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and every dish we tried was full of flavor — especially the tapas selection and sangria. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Perfect spot for a relaxed dinner or a night out with friends. Highly recommend The One Tapas!

Good atmosphere but not so great food – I ordered the Roasted Bone Marrow and it was not cooked properly. It was way undercooked and had the raw smell to it. I had to spit out the one bite I had because it was awful. By looking at it, you could tell. Drinks were good so that’s a plus – male bartender was awesome. Wouldn’t come back but cute for a drinks and hanging out.

Overall a good experience, though not quite five stars – yet.
Food:
We ordered the Wagyu beef sliders and the charred octopus. Unfortunately, the octopus was overcooked and quite tough, making it hard to chew. It seemed like the kitchen may not be entirely comfortable working with this kind of ingredient. We also found the dishes to be overly salted, which took away from the natural flavors. We shared our feedback with the server and hope it was passed along to the chef.
Drinks:
The cocktails were excellent – well-balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I don’t think you can go wrong with any choice from the bar.
Service:
Service was warm, professional, and quick. We appreciated that $10 was taken off the check due to the issues with the food. We were also offered a dessert or another dish to make up for it, which was a thoughtful gesture — we just weren’t hungry anymore.
Atmosphere:
The interior has a stylish, European-inspired vibe. The plating also reflected that — clean and tasteful. Prices felt fair for the setting and quality.
The space indoors feels quite limited. It would be a great idea to add a few outdoor tables – the weather is perfect for it right now.
We’re planning to come back to try more from the menu, and hopefully update this review to five stars next time.

I am IN LOVE with this place, it’s such an unknown little spot which makes it even better!! The atmosphere is so quiet but the music makes it so welcoming and don’t even get me started on the food… SO SO SO DELICIOUS! 100/10 will be coming again!

Dined in recently to celebrate the holidays. The place is very cozy with clean and modern, urban vibe. We ordered the truffle mushroom fries, Lobster chowder soup, Chef’s Daily Special Seared Salmon, Braised Short Ribs, Surf & Turf, and finalized the meal with very rich Tres Leches. The dishes were well executed and rich in flavors and well presented. The service was definitely impeccable. We were very pleased with the overall experience. It’s a great local dining gem. Highly recommend and will return for more.

It’s a little small inside. Cute vibes. Service was a little slow? I’m not sure if they were understaffed, but there were very long stretches between ordering drinks/food and when it arrived at the table. I recommend the charcuterie board and the truffle fries if you want to try it out! But I definitely think you should make a reservation or you might not get a table.
