Everything about Hangout Café was incredible! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so kind, respectful, and welcoming — we were greeted with smiles from start to finish. The atmosphere felt like family, and the service was top tier.
We only waited about 10 minutes for our food, and it was well worth it! We ordered the fried swai fish and chips along with the tenders and chips — and let me tell you, the chef was definitely doing his big one in that kitchen! Everything came out hot, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The flavors were amazing, and you could truly taste the love and care in every bite.
They offer dine-in, takeout, desserts, breakfast platters, fried fish, tender platters, and burgers — and if everything is as good as what we had, you honestly can’t go wrong no matter what you order.
A special shoutout to Teesha for the wonderful service and great conversation. She made our visit even more enjoyable. We left full, happy, and already planning our next trip back.

We celebrated here, and everything exceeded my expectations, from the friendly staff to the fun, family-friendly atmosphere. The space was clean, vibrant, and set up beautifully for kids and adults to enjoy. The team was so helpful and patient with the little ones, and they went out of their way to make sure my son felt special on his big day.
The food and drinks were fresh and delicious, and the service was quick even with a large group. I loved how easy it was to host a stress-free, memorable birthday here.

This new(ish) little hidden gem inside the Springfield Mall should have more hype. Housed inside the old Friendly’s on the first floor of the mall. I loved everything we had. My daughter had pancakes topped w/ strawberries and whipped cream, turkey bacon, scrambled eggs w/ american cheese. I had fried fish and grits w/ butter and cheese – when I say everything was good. The fish was seasoned and fried to perfection. The grits were not lumpy and had the perfect amount of butter, salt, and pepper. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was the right amount of crispy. The pancakes were flavorful and almost cakey. Everything. Was. Delicious. Nothing was made from frozen par baked food – everything was freshly made.
The chef came out and spoke to us twice, once to tell us our food was coming and apologized for the wait – which wasn’t even a wait; we had our food in less than 10 minutes, at best. The second time she checked in to see how everything was. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They had the football game playing and turned it up for the patrons to hear (Go Birds!)
I’m definitely coming back the next time I’m in the mall. Highly recommend for a real home cooked type meal.

Full Disclaimer . I’m not the biggest fan of smash burger. I prefer a more meaty, thick flavorful pattie fries could of used another minute or two in the fryer for my personal preference
Soft serve was tasty n a bargain at $3
Much to offer in way of deserts n all day breakfast.next time I’ll geta breakfast or steak sandwich .a couple homemade soups or chili n maybe a hot roast beef be nice in the menu
Plenty of seating n nice TV
Greeting was warm, and both servers were extremely friendly, polite n efficient
I mainly had the A.A girl with glasses
She was just so courteous and engaging
But both girls working afternoon 1/30 were outstanding
I hope the mall traffic can sustain this fine establishment .

we stopped in for lunch and lord was it good. the portions are generous and the prices are family friendly. my family of 6 was able to order combos and keep the price under $100. everyone got milkshakes or fruit smoothies as well. I even left with funnel cake fries for a snack on the ride home. come check them out. you won’t be disappointed

Went here for the first time and can honestly say it was a very negative experience for a newly opened restaurant. It was empty, only 1 table being occupied and it took forever for the food to come. The waitress was very nice and attentive, she seemed to be on top of checking on customers which is great, but there were several cooks in the back and only 1 table being occupied and still nothing. In the end, it turns out my friend’s order was never even submitted to the kitchen, which makes no sense considering the waitress even came back another round to confirm her order. The 1 table that was being occupied had many different employees come to them to try and “fix” their order, as it was made wrong and needed confirmation from several employees. My burger was good, definitely made well, but the fries looked and tasted like they were from a frozen bag from the store. Oh and did I mention that they didn’t have 90% of their menu available because they were making new menus? Wouldn’t you discontinue food items after the new menu is complete? How does it make sense to not have food in a restaurant. They had people standing around for a long time waiting for to go orders too. In the end, they offered us a 10% discount which was nice, but it was after I already paid so therefore I didn’t get one. The fruit punch was completely watered down and the prices for subpar food with small portions were crazy. The atmosphere was cute and cozy, it was fun and colorful. But yeah, they really need to get their act together. They’re off to a poor start.
