Sumo Dog takes the American Classic hot dog and redefines it with Japanese ingredients, inspiration and tradition. It is the brainchild of Jeffrey Lunak, a veteran of “Iron Chef” Morimoto’s Restaurant Group. Sumo Dog explores the combinations of the American classic with a heavy nod to the Japanese Izakaya. We offer hot dogs (both signature style and more traditional), crispy chicken sandwiches, chopped cheese sandwiches, breakfast burritos, tater tots, french fries, etc….We have a drive thru lane, as well as dining inside.

Absolutely novel experience for fast food. The rice tots alone are different from any other fast food place around. I’ve never had a miso katsu before, it’s a breaded fried hot dog, it was really good! The toppings are all unique and delicious. At the end of the day, it’s just hot dogs, but if you’re looking for a really fresh experience in fast food, this is where you need to go. Unfortunately, all these awesome toppings make the bun really soggy. So if you dont have an appetite, dont try the Godzilla by yourself or you’re gonna be eating hot dog pudding by the end of the meal. Lastly, the chili is not great, it’s good, but not 5 star great. Everything else about this place is amazing so the lack of quality in the chili was a little disappointing for a hot dog place. If chili dogs and chili fries are your preference, youre better off at Wienerschnitzel. Most of the selections dont have chili, so dont let that stop you from going here because this place is definitely worth trying once, atleast for all who can eat here.

My friends and I came to this Sumo Dog last night from tennis. We have heard of sumo dog and they actually have a pop up sumo dog inside the tennis tournaments. But the ambience and experience here at this Sumo was/is outstanding. The food is great, the service is amazing. The cashier Jesabell is outstanding, very thorough when explaining the menu and we all appreciate that since it could be a little difficult to understand the Japanese ingredients. 10/10

Food is ok, was expecting more flavor. Paid $16 for one hot dog, drink and fries. Inside was clean and waited about 5 minutes for my food, will come again but not very often.

Very disappointing…it was bad…I ordered a New York dog and it was disgusting…way too salty…inedible…plus the portions are nothing like in the pictures…they’re smaller than any hot dog you buy anywhere. And it pisses me off that they ask for a tip just for handing over the food at the drive-thru, what the heck? I definitely wouldn’t return to this location.

The daily specials are great. My favorite is sunday chilli and cheese. I will be back on sunday for sure, Jezabel had amazing recommendations for myself and family. Her and her chefs really took care of us.
