Food is good but they keep being inconsistent with things , the tea they have now all tastes different and bitter, they will charge you for more teriyaki one day then not the next. Charge for extra chicken when it was an extra scoop of sauce until I questioned it. They just need to do what they were doing and it would be fine.

Friendly and helpful staff! The food was delicious and the veggies were especially fresh. I had 50/50 pork(smoked flavor) and tofu, 50/50 brown rice and lettuce with yellow curry and also a wrap with chicken and tofu with hoisin sauce and chili lime aioli. Both were very delicious. Highly recommend!

This was kind of expensive for the amount of food you got. Don’t expect to take home any leftovers. I got a salad with the steak and the sesame ginger vinaigrette with some good toppings. I wish they would mix it all together with the sauce but I LOVED the dressing. The steak was marinated well too! We also got the guacamole made with edamame and avocado and we really enjoyed eating that. Their Fresca drinks were tasty as well and we tried them all. I’d def go back for a quick lunch but I really want to buy that vinaigrette in bulk 🙂

The people here must be trained to give you as little food as possible. They skimp on everything but the rice. What happens if you ask for more, let’s say lettuce, you might wonder? They put one extra piece of lettuce on top. Should you dare ask for more than that, you are told they will have to charge you for more. Same with any of the other sides. I’ve been here several times and it’s the same every time.

Zhao Asian Café in Layton is a fantastic spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The staff was friendly, and service was fast. Prices seem standard for fast food these days, but the quality definitely stands out.
The restaurant was clean, with plenty of seating for all the guests, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The food was absolutely delicious and felt mostly healthy, aside from the sauces—which were so tasty, they’re probably not low in sugar!
Overall, a great experience. I’d definitely recommend Zhao Asian Café to anyone looking for flavorful and fresh food in the area. Five stars!

I can’t stand this place anymore. They have been skimping out on portions for the last couple of years and it’s getting ridiculous. Im paying $20 for a bowl of rice with 3 scraps of meat every time I go. I have to ask for extra meat to get NORMAL amount and then I’m well over $20 at that point. This place is straight up robbing people.

Amazing food. Fresh ingredients and wholesome flavors. Recently switched my diet to a gluten/dairy free change and could steal eat the bowls here with no changes. Relaxing quiet atmosphere. Definitely would go again.
