Fun place to stop in! Shop while you wait for your food, sit at a table or take your food to go. Food was PIPING hot, not common when ordering food! Staff was friendly and kind. We ordered cheese curds, a reuben and Italian sub. Cheese curds had a light breading and the caramel sauce was a fun twist. Sandwiches were GREAT with a decent portion of meat. Highly recommend!! We also walked out with some sweets, of course!

A great little place located inside Adventure Pro Outdoors, my favorite is the chicken tenders with tater tots (extra crispy!) and the burgers and breaded chicken sandwich. Staff is great and the prices are fair, the store itself is cool to look around while you wait for your food. Also they have ice cream!

Had issues getting my order. Place is still new and getting a routine takes a week or so. No biggie. Ordered the chicken tenders. Received cat fish. Was really good. Homemade tartar sauce. I will return.

The Hungry Hiker Cafe and Deli in Nelsonville is inside a neat shop with essentials, gifts, and more. It’s a breakfast / lunch / dinner counter with fantastic food for super cheap. My husband and I ordered 2 nice sized breakfast burritos loaded up just how we like, had 2 fresh hot coffees, and paid barely over $12. The staff is wonderfully helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. You can even book experiences, cabins, houses, and more here if you’d like.
We stayed in one of the 1st Choice houses, and enjoyed our stay VERY much (we stayed in the Maple Leaf.) We highly recommend the food here AND the lodging. We’ll be return customers for both, for sure!

The food was so hot and yummy. The place is immaculately clean and service was great! Seems strange to stop in a place like this for good, but definitely a great quick bite that is so much better than fast food!

Strange little place on the outskirts of Nelsonville. Deli counter in back of a store. Friendly service. Food was super affordable. Husband loved his New Yorker sandwich. I got a rueben to go which was good even heated up. Not a ton of food options in Nelsonville so this is a welcomed addition.

This is a deli in the back of a store. I wouldn’t call this a cafe. We came in on Sunday June 8 to find out many items were out of stock because the people at the festival took all the food.
The lady ringing up people was more interested in chatting than getting a sandwich made. I’ve never seen someone work so hard and working so slow. The lady at the counter was more interested in complaining.
Sandwich was fine but it was a basic Sandwich. Not sure we will be back.

Got the Hammonds bearded burger and it was awesome. For dessert buckeye ice cream. Staff was super helpful for our first time visit. Definitely coming back to try the hotdogs.
