Amazing place to eat and have a drink or two. Great pieces. Great service. Great food! (Waffle fries !!) I can’t say more about the Rusty Rail, you’ll have to try it out for yourself and find out. Keep up the amazing work guys and gals.

Been here a couple of times. Good drinks, real friendly staff. Meatloaf and philly cheese steak are awesome, ribeye was ok.

Started out great, ended with a disappointing meal and burnt fingertips from a plate that was extremely hot on one side only. Waitress stopped coming to our table when she was told my baked potato was hard. She dropped off a replacement and never came back. We waited over 40 minutes after our meal to get the check and finally asked someone else to get it for us.

Came here on the night of August 9th and the bartender was terrible. It wasn’t just my table — I noticed other customers having the same issues. The bar wasn’t even busy, yet we got no drink refills, no silverware, and no napkins. He completely forgot about the tables he was serving, and when it came time to pay, we had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to settle the bill.

For the prices they charge for food here, I expected way better service. Honestly, I made a bad choice coming here — should’ve gone to the Antler Pub & Grill instead.

A decent restaurant and pub (one of the best in Gardiner, we’re told). We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, which wasn’t an issue, as they have a pub/bar that is a great little watering hole.

The food was average, but the services was great.

The pub itself was very lively and a lot of fun. Certainly a good place for a night out.

To the Owner, from a Fellow Business Owner:

I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent visit to your bar. While I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere and typically have a great time at your establishment, my experience on the evening of May 30th was disappointing and worth bringing to your attention.

At around 11:30 PM, the bar was lively — the pool area was full with at least 25 patrons- the bar was busy. Despite the clear demand, the bartender on duty began informing every incoming group that it was last call, stating the bar would close at 12:00 AM. Guests were asked to close out their tabs, even those still actively enjoying their time, including people playing slots. We overheard the bartender advising patrons that beer and wine could be purchased at the nearby gas station instead.

A group near us mentioned that the early closure was due to only one bartender being scheduled. While I completely understand the challenges of being short-staffed, most patrons are patient and respectful when they know one person is managing the floor. It was clear that many guests were willing to wait for service, and at least six people who arrived just before midnight were turned away, despite the bar being advertised as open until 2:00 AM.

Additionally, my husband asked about using the TouchTunes system, and the bartender responded with a story about it not working and the provider threatening to remove the machine due to lack of use. However, the night prior, another bartender had the system running with no issues.

I share this feedback not to complain, but in the interest of helping maintain the positive reputation your bar has built. The environment is great, but this particular interaction with your staff member didn’t reflect the standard of service we’re accustomed to.

We wondered in and thought we hit the jackpot. Our 1st bartender was friendly, attentive and made a great drink. Our replacement Dana was unhappy with being at work or unhappy with waiting on ladies I’m not sure.We were polite and said thank you EVERYTIME she came to the table she acted like she was deaf and said NOTHING. I really wanted to leave a 1 but your establishment didn’t deserve that. You have a great establishment and I hope this was an off night.

Excellent food, service, vibe. Visiting from Michigan. We had the wings, chic Caesar wrap, and chili. Good was excellent. Bartender was busy but still attentive. I don’t understand the poor reviews here

Good food and service, prices are a little high but I’m not from the West. One cup of elk chili, onion rings, and two draft beers came out to $24.

Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Due to our waiters suggestion we both ordered the blacken trout which was incredible. We also ordered an additional side salad and had street corn dip with chips as an appetizer. Everything was exceptional and full of flavor. I highly recommend the Yellowstone Mine as a place to relax and enjoy good food after a long day in the park.
