Great little BBQ pit stop. Excellent food. Had ribs, well smoked with great flavor, with beans and potato salad. Must say the beans were well worth the stop all on their own. Also, the shredded pork w/slaw sandwich hits the spot. We really enjoyed the sandwich. Often there is chunks of fat mixed in, but these are nicely shredded pork with lots of flavor and a nice slaw to dress it up.
Had a great chat while ordering to go making the whole experience memorable. Next time we’re in the Bluff I know where we’ll be stopping for BBQ. Need to go back for pork steak, chicken and some BBQ nachos.

Cute little BBQ place, smells good when you walk in the door. Had a pulled pork sandwich, famous baked beans, rib plate with corn on the cob. Finger licken good!!! We left with a bottle of BBQ sauce and the Dry Rub! Stopped on the way thru town traveling south. We’ll be back next time we come through.

Food is always good. I always get the Katie Tator & it’s always fresh with a good amount of toppings. Service is always quick & nice. Cute decorations & prizes from past BBQ competitions

Tiny business on a big street, but definitely a little piece of heaven! Amazing price and the best BBQ in Missouri. We enjoyed the pit boss, and Mike was the Host for our meal. Travel to poplar bluff for this food. Nothing else will matter!

Very displeased with the quality of orders lately. We (co workers and I) will usually order the Katie tater with extra cheese and meat. Now I understand that accidents happen but our orders are always undertopped lately and just a poor experience. I even called this time to see if it was forgotten because I know mistakes can be made but he also stated in a rude manner that “its weight it can’t be wrong” . I find this hard to believe considering what I got for lunch when in the past we have gotten WAY more from the same place. Pictures from their website, what we used to get, and what we got today for people to see

Very average, I just can’t appreciate pre-made sides. It’s a pet peeve of mine to put your name on the building and serve someone else’s food. The meat had very little smoke flavor or seasoning. I did really like the sauce however.

I went in expecting a fresh meal. Instead I got yesterday’s leftovers. The first thing I asked the staff was “What’s freshly cooked”. They replied “everything”. I even asked twice to make sure we were on the same page.
I asked about the ribs, pork or beef: pork. I asked about the rib plate: they’re baby back ribs. Everything sounds good, give me a rib plate.
What I got was not baby back ribs and it was dry, not quite like beef jerky, but, definitely not moist – a sign they were not fresh. Also, the ribs were about 1.5″ long – baby back ribs are definitely longer than that – unless they gave me Piglett’s ribs.
Also, they have pictures of Mike and Zach winning bbq awards adorning their walls. Anybody that does competition rib cooking knows one basic rule – remove the membrane. I had membrane on my ribs.
The ribs did have a subtle smoky flavor that was pleasant, not overwhelming. These guys know how to cook ribs, they just need to work on training their staff better – know what you’re selling and don’t give yesterday’s meat to someone looking for fresh.
Would I go back, probably, but, not to get the ribs. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and it was a good meal.

Worst ribs I have ever had. They definitely weren’t smoked unless it was in the microwave. I’ve had a lot of ribs these were absolutely terrible. Ones off the Chinese buffet are grand champio ribs compared to these. Do not get you will be disappointed. Bbq nachos were ok. They were loaded up good. I wouldn’t go back.
