Last night my family and I went to MARDEE’S for my dad’s birthday dinner, and we had such a lovely time. We were a large group of about 15 people, and although I didn’t catch our server’s name, she was incredibly accommodating and provided excellent customer service throughout the night.
The manager was also amazing—very nice, friendly, and funny. She came out to talk to us and built great rapport with everyone at the table, which made the experience even more special. For appetizers, the manager brought us salad, freshly made chips with dip, and accra with pikliz—everything was delicious and fresh.
For my entrée, I ordered the fried chicken with diri djondjon, along with plantains and pikliz, and it was absolutely amazing. As a Haitian family, we truly appreciated how welcomed we felt. The atmosphere felt warm, familiar, and full of culture.
To top it all off, the manager surprised us with cake for my dad’s birthday, and we all sang happy birthday to him. She has such amazing energy and, along with our server, consistently checked in to make sure we were okay, especially since we were such a big party.
I will definitely be coming back—next time with my boyfriend—for the outstanding customer service, great food, and wonderful ambience. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at Mardee’s Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. Every bite made me feel like I was back home. The taste, the quality, and the care put into the food truly stand out.

I give service a 3 star only because I waited so long that I had to take my food to go instead. When I got home OMG, I was super impressed and said I must definitely return. Everything was so tender and delicious! I haven’t had a Haitian plate this flavorful in a while. The restaurant had the right ambiance, a perfect cozy set up for a date or a girls night out catching up with friends but it’s the food that will always steal the show. I had the black rice with fried pork and the sauce was perfectly spiced, the peppered coleslaw (pikliz) was just chef’s kiss. The side order of flattened plantain (bannan peze) was so moist and delectable, just two slices weren’t enough. Literally mouth watering. Everything was seasoned to perfection and with food this good, there is no price complaint. The price is fair. Can’t wait to try their fried fish and bean sauce !

I took my mom to Mardees Bistro & Lounge for lunch to celebrate her birthday, and this was our first time visiting. The location is easy to find and there’s plenty of parking, which is always a plus. There is a side entrance that looks like the main entrance, which is where we initially went and couldn’t enter. I do wish there was a sign directing guests to the main entrance around the corner, which we later discovered.
I had made a reservation for two, but it didn’t seem necessary. When we walked in, the space itself was nice and had a good atmosphere. However, there was no hostess to greet us. I walked up to the bar and asked a waitress if we could sit anywhere since I had a reservation. She seemed a bit confused and just pointed to an area where we could sit.
After sitting down, it appeared our waitress was busy with a larger party, so we waited patiently. When she came over with menus, we noticed that several items we wanted to order were unavailable, which was disappointing especially since the restaurant had only been open for about two hours. I ordered the Griot bowl, thinking it would come in an actual bowl, but it didn’t. My mom ordered the fried goat, and we both had passion fruit drinks. I was also disappointed that there wasn’t a drink menu, as I was hoping to have a celebratory cocktail with my mom but we just settled for water and passion fruit juice.
On a positive note, the food came out quickly and tasted good. Overall, I’m glad we tried a new spot, but I probably wouldn’t dine in again. I would consider ordering pickup or delivery in the future.

Absolutely incredible meal from Mardee’s Bistro & Lounge! Everything was presented beautifully,the vibrant purple orchid on the rice dish was such a lovely touch. The main platter looked and smelled amazing. The rice was perfectly seasoned, the fried plantains were crisp, and the smeat topped with those pickled onions and peppers were mouthwatering. Even the side salad was fresh with a great-looking dressing. High quality food and presentation, I highly recommend checking them out!
