Hilltop Restaurant has been serving food and providing alcohol since the beginning of the 1800s. With the original cabin still in-tack from 1809, we are rumored to be the oldest building in Brookville. With many names throughout the years; Union House, Canal House, Taproom, Ye Ole Shack, and Crazy Dogs, we are excited to add our name to the list. As of September 2021, new owners came in and revived the business, transforming it into the full service, family friendly, restaurant that it is now. While still offering a full bar, pool table, and an outdoor patio, Hilltop is the perfect blend of sports bar and restaurant, ideal for any age, event, or family.

Only went to visit a local musician who was home from Nashville. Sat on the patio. No service. Had to go inside to get a waitress on the patio for myself and guests. Told her I’d be paying cash. They kept my card. Tried to call, left 3 messages on the number listed, no response. Menu looked good, and with reasonable prices. Didn’t eat, no service.

The cheese curds and drinks were really good. The burgers were bland and would not get again if we ever go back. The beer cheese was good with the fries, and the fries were seasoned well.

The menu offers great quality bar food and classic fare! We had the cheese curds and potato kegs as an appetizer! Both were wonderful! Everyone loved their burgers with the beer cheese and this writer enjoyed the street tacos! It’s a local grub spot that anyone can find something on the menu. We were also impressed with the local craft beer on tap!

Stopped in on a whim to grab some lunch. What a nice surprise. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. The reuben dog was amazing! And the beer battered fries are a must have. We will definitely return.

We were traveling through the area and stopped by the Hilltop for lunch and we are so glad we did! The food was incredible, highly recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub! Not only was the food great, the service was as well. We had a great conversation with the owner, Brandon. If you are in Brookville, make sure you stop in, you will be happy you did!
