Seems to be a very popular place. I went here to catch the end of the British Open. Very nice meal and a good place to catch the tournament because they have TV’s everywhere.

They have some really intriguing things on the menu, and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and certainly the portions.

I ordered the special which was a taco pizza, and felt that I waited an inordinate amount of time for it. The gentleman next to me at the bar came in after I did and ordered after I did and had completed his meal before I was served. I was there to watch Scottie Scheffler win the British Open so I didn’t care so much, but it did take an awful long time. I did return a 2nd time, a few days later, and ended up leaving because I waited almost an hour to 2 appetizers, which never came out. Disappointing.

Good location and it seemed a nice comfortable place to be.

We had a great birthday lunch. Beer was cold, the food delicious. Our server Jo was right on point. She was smiley, professional and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Jo. We’ll be back.

The Shanty is awesome and everything you read about the relaxed and friendly environment is true. My dad and I just popped in for some late lunch and it was such a great vibe, I didn’t want to leave.
Even my dad was who’s visiting commented on how friendly the staff is and how great the food is. I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but they deserve to hear the positive experiences! Thanks for the great lunch and see you soon.

This place is great. It’s a sports bat/family restraunt, a typical Thirsty Thursday locale.

The menu items we’ve tried so far are fantastic. But. The Cowboy Chicken Sandwich. Is hands down. The best chicken sandwich I have ever had. Sounded fried chicken breast is the perfect thickness, the bacon is always the perfect crispness with sauce jalapeños (I sub for cherry peppers) onion rings on a brioche? Perfection.

This place was great! Nice place with great food, decent prices, and good sized portions. I put it in the $30-$50 range since we had drinks and apps as well as entrees – could easily be $20-$30 depending what you get.

Food: We got the tator tot poutine which everyone loved. A friend got the fried mushroom appetizer which they enjoyed (not a mushroom fan here) and we got sweet potato fries for the table which were good. I got the chicken parm which was excellent, really thick chicken breast that was cooked perfectly. Also had a rum runner cocktail which was delightful.

Atmosphere: typical sports bar, a lot of high tops along the edges that had a shared bench along the wall. Was comfortable, though the spot i sat in had a screen at my back which was a little awkward. This place is not wheelchair accessible from what I can tell, you can get in, but there would be very limited if any seating options and forget about the bathrooms.
Tiny singles, and if you sit for too long in the ladies the motion activated light turns off and you can’t reach it.

Service: Our waitress was great, real sweetheart who made sure our drinks were full and would check in regularly.

Overall 4/5 stars mainly for accessibility.

The jambalaya was very delicious, and my friend said the Buffalo mac and cheese was amazing. Beer was frosty cold. Unfortunately, we caught a shift change as we were finishing up around 5, and the new guy had a hard time sorting out our checks. Otherwise it was great and I hope to go back.

Pro: great food, great service, fair pricing. Con: 11 televisions in one giant room with a full wrap-around bar as a main feature. Want a quiet chat and good food? Get it to-go and sit in Henry Law Park.

Ate here twice in the last month or so. Staff was very friendly and the food is AMAZING. Always comes out fast and hot. Tried several different things here and nothing disappoints. Great selection of bar food to share with friends over an iced cold beer. Pictures are: shepherds pie, poutine tater tots, edamame potstickers and buffalo chicken egg rolls. Highly recommend for delicious comfort food with fun atmosphere.

We should have known when the bar was totally packed, the booths were fairly empty, and there was a sign asking to seat yourself. We sat ourselves and waited, and waited, and waited. After 20 minutes of seeing everyone at the bar get what they want and servers walk by us but never make eye contact, we packed it up and left. Really too bad they share the same name as the Fish Shanty and the same space as Alexander’s, nothing like the old places Mr. Fofolos and Mr. Eliades would not be too pleased. First time going, probably won’t be back, sad.
