Walked in right at opening on a Thursday and sat at the sushi bar with my husband. The vibe of the restaurant feels very cozy, just like being transported back to Japan. We ordered a bottle of nigori sake and the premium omakase experience. We were impressed with each piece given, the fish was obviously fresh and the rice was perfect. (Special mention to the salmon nigiri and the eel roll – still thinking about these bites!) I wish we were given a little more explanation on what each fish was, but with only one sushi chef making everything, it makes sense he needs to focus on customer orders. Our server was very kind and attentive. Will definitely come back next time we’re in West Hollywood!

Perfect, in all the ways. Small authentic Japanese style, unassuming and yet incredible food. Watching the chef make each piece by hand for the entire restaurant was just as enjoyable as the flavors. Get the sushi and sashimi omikase if you love fresh fish.

Really enjoyed this spot! The fish was super fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. A great place to enjoy sushi without the noise. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely amazing. It seems a real Japanese restaurant, but in L.A.. The food is genuine, but it hasn’t been modified to suit local tastes, and as a result it has kept its authenticity. Simply wonderful!

Authentic family owned and ran sushi and omakase restaurant. My friends live out here and they come here often, we had reservations for the back room, it was really nice and cozy and they let us use their speaker, we probably were really loud during dinner. The sushi chef was out front and its bar and omakase style. We had the back and multiple rounds of sake, we also ordered edamame, seaweed salad and some other rolls too. I like amaebi (sweet shrimp) and they fried the heads for us. We did a couple of other tuna and mackerel rolls as well. There’s some street parking and parking further in the areas. Great vibes, authentic and great service!

Not since visiting the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo have I enjoyed such a deeply satisfying sushi omakase. I chanced upon this spot while in town from Pittsburgh last night, visiting an old friend. The atmosphere was pitch-perfect for such a reunion: intimate, warm and welcoming. The sushi master kindly accommodated our food allergies (gluten & sesame), serving us tender cuts of fish absolutely bursting with flavor. If I could put it in musical terms – to me it was like listening to the Beatles’ White Album for the first time again. I found myself closing my eyes with each bite like a little kid. Sharing such a culinary treat with a beloved and long-missed friend was a gift beyond words. Truly moving. ごちそうさまでした!

I recently dined at this cute sushi spot on Sunset Boulevard that offers a truly unique and personal experience. The restaurant is a family affair: the father is the skilled sushi chef, crafting each piece with precision, while the mother manages the back of the house, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Their son handles the front of the house as the server, bringing a warm and welcoming vibe to every table.

The sushi is fresh and delicious, with an authentic touch that reflects the family’s dedication and passion for what they do. The cozy, intimate setting adds to the overall experience, making it feel like you’re part of the family. It’s a delightful place for anyone looking to enjoy quality sushi in a homely, yet refined atmosphere.

Stopped by last night for a small bite. I had the house salad (tasty) and sushi. The Toro was great, I really liked the snapper, and the fresh water eel was fabulous. A nice, quiet place with a great staff. I can’t wait to be in town again, this will be the first place I go. Yum.

The sushi was fantastic and authentic. Anyone ranking this place less than 4 stars is a diva and anyone ranking it 4 stars being difficult. Not sure if this place is family run but it felt like it – sushi chef was friendly and acting like he lived here in a way only good chefs do. Server clearly cared, made good recs, and was friendly.

Small little place. Very Authentic with Japanese family who have owned this place for 20+ years. My wife and I got a lot of different things on the menu. All of it was amazing. Great service. Great food, Great Sake. We went back for takeout on our last night in the area.
