This was a great place to eat and overall experience. The food was amazing and everything being made from scratch just increases the depth of flavor. The area Village Pizza is located in is nice as well. We had the prosciutto bae and garlic cheese bread.

This exact location has had at least 4 different pizza joints, and all of them have been underwhelming to the point of bankruptcy. Mercer Village Pizza is no different. Upon entering, we had to navigate around a random piece of gym equipment just in the middle of the floor. After finding a seat, the only words we heard from the waitress for the first 7 minutes were “sorry” or “so sorry, be right with you.” With the amount of oxygen wasted on apologies, she could’ve taken our order or at least our drinks. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and some of their smoked wings. The pizza was a pool of grease, requiring 3 napkins to make a single slice edible, only to realize it’s just reheated Sysco food. The wings somehow surpassed this pizza in inadequacy. I was surprised they were not clucking when they came out due to the amount of feathers on them. I suppose those are the only certifiably fresh things in this glorified school cafeteria, at the risk of insulting school cafeterias.

Great and I mean great Pizza. It is made fresh in house as is all ingredients. The owner is very involved in the experience and you get the authentic hard working aura around the place. The pizza crust is hand made and a great even cook. The pizza types are unique and unlike anything in the area. Give MVP a shot. It is worth the cash. Wings are truly smoked and the flavor is fantastic. A great balance of flavors. This place is special.

Great spot. Best pizza in town as far as taste/texture. Crispy crust with cornmeal dusting in the bottom, nobody else is doing that in Macon GA. Reasonably priced, great location next to Mercer. Owner is hands in with everything, but super friendly and very passionate about his craft. Peach prosciutto Boursin pizza was amazing. Great muffuletta as well.

Truly such a hidden gem in Macon. The owner truly goes out of his way to make all of the menu items unique and made fresh to order (including the sandwich bread!!). This is my 2nd time eating here and it is quickly becoming a new favorite. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while, plus an incredibly friendly staff which makes the experience even better. 10/10 recommend.

•Lemonyaki Wings (must try! Such a unique flavor combination of teriyaki and lemon pepper. The wings are smoked which add a great tenderness and flavor)
•Peachy-keen pizza (amazing for summertime. Light and refreshing. Subtle sweetness and amazing flavor profile all around. One of the best pizzas I’ve had and such an original combination of ingredients. Nothing like I’ve ever had)
•Chicken Parm Sandwich (wow. Just wow. The bread was made fresh to order and unreal. A nice garlicky, cheesy crust that balances perfectly with the fried chicken& marinara. The BEST sandwich I’ve ever had.)
•Cinnamon rolls (made from the pizza crust. So soft and full of flavor. Light too!)

So glad we finally made it to Mercer Village Pizza! Owner Joseph Kiefer makes you feel so welcome and takes great pride in the food they make. The pizzas were all delicious! We tried 3 different, the Peachy Keen, MVP and Bear-BQ Beast. Ingredients were fresh and meats were smoked. Pizza crust was light and delicious! Also the Wings, just as good, smoky tasting and huge! Recommend 100%
