Vegan – good chiggin katsu bowl. A great change from all the vegan burgers around a theme park. Very crispy chiggin, fresh ingredients and did the trick today.

The food was fine but not to the standards I’d expect for the price. The burger patty was also really odd in both taste and texture (dry and weird). Rest of burger, fries and tenders were good. Fast service.

The teriyaki chicken and shrimp bowls were delicious. The problem was the portion size. They were too small for the price. Rice and lettuce are cheap, fill up the bowl. Also the Icee in the combo was small.

Went here for lunch and once again was delighted to see a healthy option in a sea of fried food. I got a shrimp bowl and that give such good portions. Would highly recommend as wait time is next to nothing as they keep on making food. This is the best food place in all of the park.

I was so happy with our experience here that we went twice in one week! The food was decent, but what I was most happy about was that the chef came out to take our order both times. It is rare that restaurants take celiac disease seriously, especially quick service. I felt very confident that the food was safe and very welcomed here with dietary restrictions. We will be back!

The food, from the experience of myself and my friends, was mediocre at best. They charge an absurd amount of money for mostly abysmal food. The fries were alright, but they are not enough to do better than one star. The only saving grace for this terrible restaurant is the mostly shaded seating. Their vegan friendly chicken sandwich was likewise terrible. If you want to waste money, this is the place for you.

We placed a mobile order for the chicken avocado sandwich today. Picked up our food from Amy at the mobile order pickup, grabbed some condiments, and by the time we walked a few minutes we realized it wasn’t what we ordered. We went back and said to Amy that we actually ordered the chicken avocado sandwich (she had given us the plant based chicken sandwich). Both our receipt and her computer screen she showed us said we ordered the plant based, but we opened up our My Orders section of the Universal app and it said we ordered the chicken avocado sandwich. At this point there was nothing wrong with this interaction, until Amy took the sandwich from our tray and a bit aggressively threw the plant based sandwich into the trash in front of us. We could tell she was angry. She got the sandwich we ordered and put it on our tray and explained to us that “in the future” we should place the right order and not change it. We tried to explain to her that this wasn’t an exchange. We tried explaining that we never received the sandwich we ordered. Her tone became more aggressive and I asked for a manager because I didn’t feel comfortable continuing to talk with her. She told me she is the manager. She asked if we were vegan. We said no, we just were picking up the correct sandwich we ordered. The conversation ended.

What started as a minor IT miscommunication through the app and their system somehow turned into an argument and guests being accused of things we never did wrong. It was a sore spot on what was a good day.

Burgers were the worst we’ve ever ate. Tasted like potted meat. Definitely not beef. Maybe made from seaweed or something. Completely awful. If I rank negative stars, I would. Spent $70 on 4 mystery burgers. So not worth it. Stuff yourself before going to Volcano Bay.

The line leading into the restaurant was a lil annoying especially since it was hot and I was hungry. The app to order and curbside pick up was not working (which sucked as this could have helped minimize the line and wait time). They didn’t fulfill my order correctly and I had to return back to the counter. The staff were pleasant though and didn’t make a fuss when I asked for my missing items. The soda area definitely could have used a touch up with cleanliness. The food was ok (as to be expected as any other typical resort food…it lacked flavor). I was excited to see their plant based options however, the seasoning was rather mild. The kids loved it but barely finished their food. There were birds in the tree (which was good for the ambiance but a nuisance with the leftovers that had dropped on the floor. They would swoop in…ewww).

I finally got to try this restaurant and it was great! The downside is it was closing next week. Universal needs to stop closing restaurants due to crowd sizes. It is not fair to patrons.
