Delicious! I stopped in for lunch and ordered a Beef Kabob Wrap with Seasoned Fries. It was a good 15 minute wait for the food, but it’s prepared nice and fresh. The establishment is very clean and orderly and the customer service is great. $9.00 beef kabob, $4.00 seasoned fries, $1.04 sales tax at 8%, $0.52 credit card processing fee, $2.18 tip. Total $16.74

Visiting Albany, we decided to stop at Halal Grub for some burgers. The place looked clean and inviting. There was ample seating available and since it’s located in a plaza, there was parking available too. If you want to eat here, I suggest you call in advance to order. We waited about 40 minutes for four burgers to come out. The server was polite and explained that they had a lot of delivery orders to prepare.
The meat in the burgers were fresh. The crispy chicken sandwich, however, left a lot to be desired. It only had lettuce and tomato, and was pretty dry. The grub burger comes with onion rings in it. They have fountain soda so you can refill your drinks but we found that we got full just from drinking soda while we waited for the food to come out. The fries they serve are the typical seasoned fries. The food was okay but nothing amazing. I might be biased though since I have so many more options in NYC.

I’ve been trying new things lately and have been pleased. Halal Grub will be on my list to stop back and eat the menu. The place is clean, pleasantly greeted and the food was quick and tasty. I tried the falafel sandwich. The falafel was crispy but tender inside. Worth the stop for sure.

I don’t think it’s worth 18 dollars for a lamb chicken and rice, I understand it’s upstate but my days it’s kind of expensive. Overall food was pretty good, tasted good, and it was a disappointment at the same time due to the amount portions. I got more rice over the meat I order. I have no more and have lost me as a customer thank you for your service Halal Grub, I’ll eat some in NYC where portions are better and less expensive.

Opened up my chicken gyro and kofta plate to find no sauces. That was disappointing. Did they forget it or does it not come with anything? There was also a picture of a salad with the rice plate but no salad in the plate.
It’s a soft opening so they get a pass this time on the sauce and salad miss.
The kofta kebab was pretty tasty but would be better with that red or green sauce. The naan on the said wasn’t fresh or warm. The rice was nice. 4 stars.
The chicken in the gyro was juicy, veggies were fresh, and the pita was good. 5 stars for a $7 gyro.
Pretty good. Hope they get the sauces and said salad right next time.
