Listen… as a foodie, I don’t play about my food. And Fireman’s Cafe continues to deliver EVERY time.
Today we tried the 4 Plus 4 (4 pieces of fish + 4 shrimp with fries), the brisket sandwich, the fried wingettes, and the Shrab Dip (shrimp, crab, spinach dip). Let me just say this clearly…
The Shrab Dip is a 10/10. No debate. Creamy, flavorful, loaded — exactly how it’s supposed to be.
The wingettes? Fried like somebody’s grandma was back there in the kitchen. Crispy, seasoned right, and cooked with care.
The fish was on point. The shrimp were solid. The fries were nice and crispy (no soggy fries over here).
That brisket sandwich though… whew. Tender, flavorful, seasoned just right.
And let’s not forget — in past visits we’ve had the Shrabster (shrimp lobster crab cake), the ribs (no sauce needed!), mac & cheese, and yams. Fireman’s Cafe does NOT miss.
If you’re thinking about going… don’t think too long.
You have to get the Shrab Sauce

The Shrimp Was Lightly Battered And Fried Perfectly Not Heavy Or Greasy At All. Exactly How I Like It Just Needed A Lil’ More Seasoning.

They Were Okay, Did The Job. Personally, I Wish They Had Crinkle-Cut Fries, That Would’ve Taken It Up A Notch.

Really Good & Honestly Different From Anywhere Else I’ve Had. Comforting & Flavorful Without Being Basic.
I Definitely Need To Try Their Crack Cakes Next Time Especially The One With Lobster Meat

OMGGGGGG!!!!!! Their BBQ Sauce Deserves Its Own Section. I Tried It On The Side & It Was Everything. It Immediately Reminded Me Of The BBQ From The Rib Man On The Street Corner In DC…. Brought Back So Many Memories. So Good They Need More Items With This Sauce, Period.
The Staff Was Super Friendly & Had Smiles. Special Shoutout To The Lady Working As The Cashier, She Was Absolutely Phenomenal. So Kind, Welcoming, & Extremely Helpful. They Definitely Hired The Right Person To Bring Warmth To The Space.
I Loved The Fire Station Theme. From The Fire Pole To The Phone ☎️ & The Entire Setup, It Truly Felt Like A Real Fire Station. Super Clean, Thoughtfully Designed, & Very Welcoming.
Great Food, Amazing Sauce, Incredible Service, And A Unique Theme That Makes You Want To Come Back.

Highly disappointed is an understatement! I saw a big Schlims review and I said let me see something… I wanted to love this place. I should’ve listened to my son when we walked in he said it stunk. I got everything that Big SCHLIM recommended. Let’s start with the wings. I got lemon pepper wings, and although they did listen and give me all drums, which I do appreciate they were super salty. I got the stamp platter the fish tastes like air, no flavor and chewy. The shrimp were super small no flavor, tastes like air and also chewy. The sides were uneditable they say the greens had smoke turkey meat no more like liquid smoke and that’s the only flavor and then the mac & cheese no flavor it taste chunky and weird. You see the small container of shrab sauce so you know I had to buy a bottle. Now to the main event, the shrab cake, it had shells, no flavor, no lump crab meat, baby shrimp, and it taste like mushed hush puppies. All in all, I will probably never listen to another Big SCHLIM review ever again to spend about $70 and all of this is a waste because who’s gonna eat this? Not me and I stamp that!

I rode past this place for years. A friend raved about it, so I gave it a try. So glad I did! We had shrimp & crab bisque, shrab cake, ribs, whiting, wings, hush puppies, greens, candied yams, and fries. The food was GREAT! Seasoned well to deliver flavors throughout.
And, the young gentleman who assisted with our order was exceptionally professional, helpful, and patient. It was the cherry on top.
We will definitely be going back!!

I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name at the register, but he was so welcoming and helpful! It was our first time there and he treated us like regulars. It didn’t take too long to get the food, and we figured it was being made fresh to order, and it was! It was so delicious and homey. Between the delightful service and yummy food, it was an overall amazing experience. We will be going back!

I ordered the Big Schlim’s Platter that came with a shrab cake, whiting, and fried shrimp. I got mac n cheese, yams and greens for the sides. Whiting coulda used a little bit more seasoning and mac could have had a little more cheese, but other than that everything was amazing.

Even the service was refreshingly nice. Usually going into takeout spots the service is subpar at best. But here the young lady was welcoming, patient, and very helpful in understanding the options.
The only thing I’ll note is the online menu mentions chicken wings; but they’re actually wingettes. Didn’t bother me, as the prices were very reasonable. Definitely going here again if/when we’re in the area.

My husband and and went there this past Saturday because my husband saw the “Stamped” review and had to try it. He got the Stamped plater with shrab cake, catfish, shrimp, and fries. I had the fried shrimp ( I don’t eat Crab Cakes) with Mac & Cheese and yams. I also got some lemon pepper wings, cornbread, and hush puppies. We didn’t get there till about 7:30 and they close at 8:00. The service was good, nice and friendly. When we got our food the gentleman encouraged us to check to make sure we got what we ordered and we did. So far so good. When sat down to eat after we got home. We live in Upper Marlboro, the food was still hot (we did have one of those cheap heat bags). The catfish, shrimp, (both were a bit salty), fries, cornbread, and hush puppies were good. The yams were off the chain, truly “Stamped”. Now the sharb cake…see the pic below…no lump at all. My husband said it was awful!!!! That is why we went there in the first place, he was VERY VERY disappointed!!!!!!
