McAlister’s has truly become a second home for our family ever since my autistic son fell in love with their chipotle ranch spud. We visit at least three times a week, and the customer service at this location is unmatched. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming—especially to my kids—and that means more to us than I can put into words.
We’ve visited many McAlister’s locations across Mississippi and even a few in Texas, but the Laurel location is hands down the best. If you’re nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite. And don’t forget the sweet tea ❤️

Staff are super helpful. They got a last minute catering order taken care of for me very quickly, literally the speed of lightning and they had no problems making it happen. Very grateful for their service! Big thank you to John!

Well, to be honest – they deserve a better rating, but….. for years I have left messages on the app, spoken to the team members about this, and even mentioned the following things to the managers – and it seems to always happen when I order. 1. Salt and Pepper – you cannot order salt and pepper on the app – and eating a loaded potato without salt and pepper is like eating softened cardboard. It’s a very simple fix on the app. When you are ordering for delivery to your office on a busy day – there’s nothing worse than a bad lunch. So, it was suggested that I just order on the app – run by the pick up window, and ask for salt and pepper. I did. Returned to the office – and had 2 packs of pepper and 1 pack of salt. One. Little. Single pack of salt. How annoying. Maybe I shouldn’t have assumed that the least expensive thing – salt – they have in the building was protected like a passenger in an armored car! Needless to say the potato today was as bland as it could be, again. 2. Extra packs of butter. I mean 2 little packs of butter —- you do know that they only hold about a teaspoon of whipped butter. So when I order a potato – I always mark on the app – Extra butter. Why? A bland and DRY potato is really not a good meal. Yeah – the send 1 oz of sour cream to help – but butter actually tastes better than sour cream. I mean – everyone knows that “everything’s better with Blue Bonnet on it!” – so even a little margarine would help. Anyway – I ate half of my potato today. I guess that was enough to get by. But dang it, I paid for the whole thing. Maybe I will just bypass trying them anymore. Sad. This is such a simple fix.

My son and I decide to go on a diet. We went to McAllister to try out their salads. I had the Southwest avocado salad and he had the chelf salad. Both salads are absolutely great. I have enoug for another day. I would definitely be going back.

I really enjoyed my sandwich that I ordered for Pick Up # the other day. I believe I spoke to John on the phone. It tasted real good and he only got a little bit of my custom order wrong. But it was no big deal. I just took off what I didn’t want and enjoyed the sandwich very much. And it’s so convenient it’s close to my office at Shuff Mauldin State Farm Which is nice. So thank you McAllisters’s for the great food and thank you, John!

Our food was very good. Service was a little slow. Lots of folks standing around and on their phones. Some could have been cleaning the dinning area. Not great to see a bunch of workers bunched up.
My Veggie Spud was the best potato I’ve had in a long time.

I love the Laurel’s McAlister’s! Despite the fact it’s almost always decently busy, they still manage to serve our food fast and fresh 😀 Their sandwiches and cookies are absolutely bomb– even in spite of the slightly steeper prices it’s so worth it to get lunch or dinner here!!

This is our second time here. The food has been good both times. Today I had the spud max and my husband had the French dip. The service here is awesome, very friendly.

Very disappointed! For $30.05 I expect my order to be right! While the taste was great the order was wrong! No bacon on my McAllister club, was over charged for chilli added on to a potato, while she did refund me the difference, however the young man working the windows response to me was that he didn’t know what to tell me. This is becoming a habit with the laurel store!

I got the Angus spud with a side garden salad. The salad was fresh, crisp, and great. Most of the spud was hard, but there were a few spots that were cooked good.
