Best Peruvian food in Clifton. The staff and ownership are friendly. Reasonably priced. Great homemade Peruvian food.

I came today to eat MENU which is a Peruvian word that simply translates to a set menu for a fix price. So I ordered the Papa Huancaina for appetizer and Pollo al horno con Russian salad and white rice. First, the appetizer flavor of the yellow sauce was off very hard of pinpoint what it was but on top of that was salty to the extreme. The main course was ok the Chicken was really oven cook soft and ok flavor a bit salty though and the Russian salad was again salty.
The ambient was clean and the decorative was tasteful with Peruvian Pictures frames however, music a bit loud for lunch time and English music. It kills me that Peru has an extraordinary folklore music but so far no Peruvian restaurant I have visited they play.
There was an older couple taking care of 4 tables and they seem overwhelmed. Last thing I just got the bill and again another business with the extra charge for using credit card.

I honestly wanted to leave a good review. I’m not sure what happened today but nothing was flavorful. This is not normally the quality or service I get when coming here but I was told they have new owners now. The menu changed, the food has changed, and even the drinks have changed. I used to enjoy my passion fruit with my meal and had to settle for a Pepsi since they no longer serve all the juices they use to. I hope the staff gets better trained and the cook steps up the game with flavors. The food looked great but once you try it you notice the lack of flavor. I’m just overall disappointed with today’s visit.

I just had a Birthday party there yesterday. Food was amazing. Byob is great for us 🙂 The service is top notch! The owner cares about your experience there and are very nice. They are super accommodating. Great place to eat anytime and bring a crew to celebrate. My guests will return on their own! Thank you Aji Limon owner and staff.

Ordered to go leche de Tigre, super disappointed. I used to always order from here but the consistency and quality is not the same. Paid for an overly salty leche de Tigre and tostones that have to have been refried at least three times. They were hard, dry, and overcooked.

Tried the lomo saltodo here. First timer. I just loved it. Very large portion of food. Can’t complete it. We asked for spicy sauce and they were soooooo good. The only thing they could avoid is to put less french fries in lomo. I almost had 20 prices of fries which I couldn’t eat. Other than that , nice ambience and great food. A lil pricey (20$ per head for a lomo) but it’s good for once a month kinda food.

The food was good, had the taste of a home cooked meal. The waitress however seemed like she couldn’t be bothered and was ready to go home. When she finally was able to crack/force a smile I thought dimensions would shatter…
