This is one of those little hole-in-the-wall places that’s kind of a hidden gem. But you walk in and the service is prompt and they take your order immediately.

They specialize in rice noodle dishes here, so we got one dish with soup, and one that was dry. The duck noodles had such a delicious broth and so much duck meat. The Ultimate Noodle dish we got was nice and spicy, with lots of crunchy toppings and thin slices of beef.

We also shared some of their cold dishes of cucumber, bean curd, and shredded potatoes, which were so refreshing on a hot summer day. We couldn’t resist getting the lamb skewers too because we love the Chinese bbq spices.

They also had fresh watermelon juice and chrysanthemum tea! This spot was perfect for a quick lunch and we’d definitely come back.

I was invited to Dandan’s Guilin Rice Noodles for my Instagram food blog (@catrinoms) and had a great experience! Everything was fantastic, and I appreciated the restaurant’s willingness to customize the toppings on my noodles (less spicy and no peanuts). It’s easy to see why this restaurant has been a local favorite for more than 20 years!

First time visiting this shop and I love it. Unfortunately the only downside to the place is the noodle, it was very soggy and did not have the bouncy texture to the noodle. However the sauce of the noodle and the tenderness of the beef in my noodle was spot on. I added an egg and it had the taste! The two side dishes I ordered was also very good! Portion was huge for every item I ordered. But the pig ear was $16.99 which was pretty expensive but it has a big portion. They also have this buy one get one free Vietnamese coffee. It wasn’t very sweet so it was to my taste.

Service was excellent!! Which made me not understand the table behind mine only tipped the waitresses 10 cents?! Is that even possible? That’s worse than giving no tip. I was made for the waitress who was the only person working in the front by herself. Doing the take out to ordering sit down customers to serving walk in customers just here buying ready to eat food. I understand tipping is optional and it’s base on the waiters performance, but they’re also human and trying to make a living. Please be kind

Is your Ultimate Noodle destination! You must try their white rice noodle in both! It is addicting! The rice noodles are perfectly cooked. I think this restaurant serve the best rice noodle in Alhambra and San Gabriel.

What I ordered:
-house pig tripe rice noodle soup! Must try their rice noodle
-chef’s special: marinated brisket, pig stomach, chitterlings
-wonton soup
-steamed pork dumpling
-Diet Coke
-melon juice

I come here occasionally when I crave for Guilin noodle soup. Their portion is really big, food comes out fast and the prices are reasonable.
Recommend it if you are looking for quick and comforting lunches

The Guilin rice noodles were absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had the perfect chewy texture. The toppings were fresh, and the chili oil added just the right kick. I’d definitely order this again!

@dandan.guilinricenoodle in San Gabriel, California, takes the quality of their dishes and ingredients so pridefully and for good reason. With a fusion of mostly traditional Chinese flavors from Guilin, a city in China’s southern Guangxi province, with a modern twist (hello, bacon), I unexpectedly took my (along with my mom’s) tastebuds on trip down memory lane. The dishes we enjoyed were ones that my grandmother used to ALWAYS order for the table when she was alive

We will be coming back super soon, as DanDan, the sweet owner, made us feel right at home and treated us like we were already family The plethora of regulars coming through as we were dining shows that you can not get anything like this anywhere else in LA. There are even frozen options in their freezers if you really want to enjoy their incredibly nostalgic dishes at the comfort of your own home

We had: Cold Lemon Tea, Cold Chrysanthemum Tea, Hot & Spicy Pig Ears, Cold Dish Sampler, Ultimate Noodle, and House Hot & Sour Beef Rice Noodle Soup

A different type of Chinese food. This is more authentic. I had the MA LA Chili Noodle, which came with 3 sides and a Ice Lemon Tea. This was a very interesting dish as my tongue went numb eating it. It’s on the corner of the shopping complex and has plenty of parking out front.

I just had the most incredible lunch at Dandan’s Guilin Rice Noodle! I started with their dried sour and spicy noodles and seriously, I couldn’t stop eating them! I tried to save room for the other dishes, but they were just too good. The lamb skewers were bursting with flavor, and everything else like the tofu, pig’s ear, preserved eggs, and edamame was simply amazing. Every bite was packed with deliciousness. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out!

This restaurant is a small mom and pop shop specializing in various rice noodle bowls and marinated cold appetizers. They even pickle their own green beans and vegetables in house.

The ultimate noodle is their most popular dish with home made sauce and pickled vegetables! There is an option for sour and spicy or tongue tingling spices! They add bacon for a twist on the traditional dish, which made the dish more flavorful. I opted for the sour and spicy dry version and it was the perfect level of spice and flavor. (Would say its mild)

If youre into mala numbing spicy, i would recommend the beef with rice noodle in mala spicy sauce!

The restaurant is small with very few tables, but the dishes are served pretty fast. I would recommend trying this place if youre craving guilin noodles.
