I got brought out here by my mother who has a friend named Brenda who works at this little bar. As soon as I walked in I noticed the smell of mildew which grew stronger as I got closer to the bar which smelled like spoiled milk. Upon sitting down Brenda insisted that I should smile because it looks like I never smile which already got on my nerves a bit. We were offered a very basic which did not even contain descriptions of the food included. It was recommended to me that I try the chips because they are apparently “very good”, they were extremely thin and tasteless. As we were eating Brenda continued getting more and more antagonized over the simple fact that I seemed negative or something. I was only there to eat, and we only went there because my mother knows her. Brenda and my mother chatted back and forth quite a lot and at some point I mentioned that the chips were a horrible recommendation. At this point I did not mind bothering Brenda a bit since she had decided to bother me for no reason whatsoever. Brenda proceeds to go on a rant and state “If I had a child like that…” to my mother as a means of insinuating that I was doing something wrong and that I deserve to be disciplined. When we got to requesting a to-go box Brenda seemed to be so out of it or distraught that she proceeded to grab the plate with pasta on it, then the plate with the burger that I was still eating. I had to ask her what she was doing so that she would stop and think, but instead she practically slammed the plates down for no reason as I told her that we requested a to-go box. It was really that simple, bring us a to-go box, we did not ask her to take our plates and box them up for us, plus only one of the plates was going to be boxed, at least before we decided that Brenda was acting out of line and decided to leave asap that is. Mediocre food, terrible service, smelly atmosphere, and an all around over priced and extremely annoying experience.

One of the most hidden gems in the USA. Okay I’ve given this 5 stars on everything because it’s the most unique dinning experience and I crave that. If you’re tired of the typical dining experience and you have $200+ to spend then you’ve got to come give it a shot. Come with plenty of time and try the Caesar salad. When the host and the owner stop by try to appreciate it for what it is. I saw plenty of repeat customers hugging and taking pictures with the staff. It’s like going to a friends house that will cook you what you want. Even though you love your friend they have some quirks but that’s what makes it interesting. My steak was amazing and tender. We went on Valentine’s Day and they brought us a flower when they dropped the check. Very small but that’s what gives it its charm. Also if you are looking for a mafia vibe or mob wife vibe then this is your place

Fuad’s is an outstanding restaurant. But its not a cookie cutter place, its a unique, small, intimate, romantic place. There are no menus, and its decidedly not fast food. The wait staff and the chef will visit with you and make whatever you want that their kitchen can handle or has in stock (which is most everything in the Euro-American imagination). If you are a first time guest, I recommend that you be patient, friendly, and allow them to help you with recommendations. I heartily recommend the Caesar salad, which is blended tableside (traditional Caesar salad, don’t think of overly cheesy chain restaurant versions). Their wine list is good without being overly pretentious. For entrees, talk with the waiter and the chef and they will help you pick something (for this trip, I asked for fettucine alfredo with grilled chicken, and it was flawless). For dessert, I had the bananas Foster flambee, which was amazing for the presentation, and absolutely delicious. There was a live musician performing on the piano who was classy. All in all, an excellent and enjoyable evening.

I had been to Fuad’s about 20 years ago and had a very good experience. Naturally I wanted to return for a special occasion since I recall it was top tier dining; unfortunately, I was disappointed on this visit. We had reservations on Valentine’s Day and anticipated it would be busy but assumed we would be still receive good food, even if the service might be a little crazy due to the special occasion. In the 3 hrs during our visit, we had mediocre service and the food was not to the standards that I recalled. For the price we paid for this evening, we were disappointed to have this experience.
