Gytis was a lovely bartender and server. We went to black llama for drinks on a Friday and then to American beech Sunday night – my bridal party surprised me with a private room dinner. Both nights were great. Very attentive and the time was an unforgettable experience. Tasty drinks and delicious meals.

Today I became engaged to my love of my life! It’s a day I will always remember. In slow motion I feel every kind a beautiful interaction I had at the American Beech restaurant. We received a warm welcome and congratulations from hostess Stephanie that made us both feel so special! For us that warmth and excitement would have been enough but with American Beech it was just the beginning. We received a complimentary champagne toast from Stephanie and our incredibly sweet server Sydney. The manager Amy came over as we asked for her as we wanted to let her know how above and beyond our entire experience was. She was so kind and appreciative of our compliments but truly the pleasure was all ours. This is an outstanding place with a kind and warm staff who are all about genuinely providing a 5 star experience. The food was fantastic, I loved the smash burger and my FIANCÉ, Enjoyed the duck wings. The restaurant provided us with a complimentary dessert which was a complete surprise. This is a day I will always remember. The way each individual person made me feel, so beyond special, is so much more than I could’ve asked for. I could not recommend them more! Thank you so much American Beech team!

Really blown away by our meal at American Beech last night. The manager Ryan, made us feel right at home and shared a little bit of the backstory behind this awesome hotel/restaurant.
We ordered the tuna tartare, caesar salad, whipped ricotta, and the blackened mahi to share. Our server Sydney was so super helpful in helping us make these choices. Everything was excellent from the kitchen!

Fantastic dining experience — in my opinion it’s the best restaurant in Greenport. The food, decor, vibe, and service are all phenomenal. It’s a place i feel comfortable coming in casual or dressed up. The seafood is fresh and the menu is creative. The duck confit is a MUST. Highly recommend.

Wonderful meal at American beech! Hunter and Tim were such attentive servers (and mad great recommendations when asked!) we had the baby kale Caesar, beet salad, butternut squash soup, mahi, and hangar steak. We also ordered the cookie “skillet” (not really a sundae – no ice cream!) all was delicious. Great spot!

My friends and I stopped by American Beech in Greenport for a drink, and we had such a great experience! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We grabbed seats at the indoor bar and were greeted by Cole, the bartender, who truly made our night.
When I asked for a sweet cocktail, Cole recommended the Watermelon Sangria—it was delicious, refreshing, and perfect for the heat wave we were having. My friends usually go for lemon drop martinis but were in the mood to try something new. Cole suggested a Corpse Reviver No. 2, a cocktail we had never even heard of (and it wasn’t on the menu), but wow—it was incredible! Bright, citrusy, and the perfect balance of sweet and sour.
Cole was attentive, friendly, and engaging. He had us laughing and made the whole experience even better. If you’re at American Beach, definitely sit at the bar and ask for Cole—he’s fantastic!
