Although I haven’t visited the Coral Springs location, this venue also features a variety of Asian dishes, including Thai cuisine. The food was unexpectedly delicious and expertly prepared.
However, the decor and ambiance were somewhat mismatched, resembling a fusion of fast-food vibe with traditional dine-in elements, and could benefit from refinement. Despite being the sole table during lunch, the service was somewhat sluggish.
Still a decent place to grab a bite.
I had an amazing experience at Koto Japanese Restaurant in Coconut Creek! The service was outstanding — the staff were friendly, welcoming, and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic Japanese cuisine.
What impressed me most is that the chefs are always open to preparing traditional Japanese dishes upon request — and they do it perfectly! You can tell they really know their craft. Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in South Florida. Highly recommend visiting Koto!
Everything is nice and clean and very affordable.
Great spot to get favorite Thai & Chinese dishes including Pad Thai, Boba tea, Hibachi, Ramen, fried Ice cream.
I highly recommend to add some more vegetarian options to the menu.
The food is fairly good. So far I had the following:
– Bento box lunch
– Crab rangoon
– Vegetable fried rice
– Pork belly Tonkatsu ramen
– Hibachi steak
– Chicken Katsu(retsu)
– Koto Gyoza
– Curry chicken lunch
– Orange chicken lunch
– Sesame chicken lunch
– Tempura vegetables
– Tempura ice cream
It can seem a bit bland but it is really meant to be paired with the sauces. From what I saw, they had a variety of house sauces of good quality.
Price:
The food is a bit pricey, especially for the higher tier hibachi options. The lunch options are more reasonably priced, especially the bento boxes. If you use the Koto app, then you can bring the price down a bit in a couple ways:
– Occasional deals on larger orders ($30-$40)
– You get 10 points / $ spent (worth ~6-10% depending on what you redeem)… but there is a service charge of $1-2 even if you are ordering pickup.
Misc:
– I have exclusively ordered takeout to this point, so I can’t remark on the dine-in experience. They haven’t seemed super busy the times that I went there, so you shouldn’t have any issues getting a table.
– If you are ordering takeout, then they will wait until you show up to make any frozen items (shakes, ice cream, etc). It means waiting a bit longer but I personally prefer it over getting a container of melted ice cream if I am late.
The service was just as impressive: attentive, friendly, and fast without ever feeling rushed. On top of that, the restaurant was spotlessly clean, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and comfortable.
From the freshness of the food to the outstanding service, everything was perfect. This is easily one of the best Asian dining experiences I’ve had, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Koto Asian Bistro to anyone looking for amazing food and top-notch service!
