My pancakes were delicious and the bacon was cooked to be crispy just like I asked. The bacon was almost lacking in flavor though, but was still pretty average. The pancakes are those really big typical diner ones!! The Benedict was fair. The eggs were a bit over cooked, but again, kinda average. They did give their coffee in a very cute mug! Averagely priced. Extremely friendly service. They are making some changes and expanding their menu in a great way to I’m excited to see where they go!!

I’ve been to this diner twice. The food is fine, with large portions. The service was fine, too. During my most recent visit, I got the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. My husband got the hot meatloaf sandwich with gravy. My French fries were delicious and his sandwich was very tasty. He also got some Steak and Potato soup that he enjoyed.

If I could turn back time and decide on a different place to eat I would in a heartbeat. The service was awful, she tried to take our orders without even providing a menu. The menu itself was HORRENDOUS. Written in several fonts, shapes and sizes. Then we waited for 40 minutes to get our food. I ordered sausage gravy with fried potatoes, 1. The sausage gravy was brown and had a sour taste. 2 the potatoes I’d asked to have cool well were boiled at best. It was the most disgusting bite of food I’ve ever tasted. I had to spit it out onto a napkin. There also was no heat on in the place. It was awful and I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Sausage gravy: brown sage breakfast sausage sprinkle with flour about 1/2 cup or enough to suck up grease from sausage and then pour milk covering top of sausage. Stir continuously until thick if to thick add more milk. If you are using brown butter STOP immediately it’s disgusting!

This place is a solid 3 stars but not a step above. Its definitely not the most clean restaurant I’ve ever been inside of, and the food is mid-tier at best. Service was great, however another server was talking in front of guests about how much she could drink and drive and coming into work hung-over.
We ordered a burger, pastrami sandwich, and a cheesesteak.
Cheesesteak – tasted fine but overcooked and kind of dry. Wiz was good and the gravy on the fries is a canned gravy that i happen to enjoy… but the fries were cold
Burger – im told it was good but i didnt try it.
Pastrami – they talk it up on the menu but its severly lacking. Dry, flavorless and just poor.
I doubt we will be back. There are much better choices in the area for a similar price.

The staff was absolutely wonderful – they’re working very hard, especially with it being the first week open. Food came out hot, tasted delicious. Took about 20-30 min for it too come out, but again first week so takes time. They did the best they could considering the age of the building + the previous condition. Not a fan, but good food so who cares on what the inside looks like. Just wish there was music.
Had the best onion rings in the area, for sure. For size of the meal/cost, it is very spot on if not cheaper than other restaurants in the area. We will be back, but maybe for takeout next time.
Food in picture: Reuben with French onion rings. Kid’s chicken tenders with fries

Everything is homemade, family-friendly diner! The owner is hands in and continues to make sure everyone is well taken care of. Also, the artwork in the diner is independent artists! They definitely support other local businesses and local and state wide artists. I can definitely see New Beginnings becoming a local favorite in lemoyne. The perfect breakfast spot! Next, we will be back for lunch and dinner! The French toast was delicious!

First impressions, it is very different from what was on of my favorite places to eat over the last 30 years. It is clean and bright inside. Wait staff was quick to sit, silverware is spotless. I have placed my order and while waiting I am watching my waitress play with some kids that were done eating and looking restless. I am very impressed with her kindness, it is not very busy yet as it is a new establishment, but she is taking her money and letting them play games. It is a sign of kindness, that I love to see in people. Their parents just apologized and she told them that is was fine. (They are restless not being spoiled.). The new owner has experience in the field, because he has hired experienced servers.
Internet juke box that looks like a replica of a classic 1950’s Wurlitzer. Touch Tunes, so you likely already have the app loaded. Juke box is not yet hooked up to the internet, may take a few weeks or owner is looking to keep a set music set.
Menu is full on with a lot of home made items, soups and some impressive sandwiches. House roasted turkey. I decided on the home made meat loaf, with a side of mashed potatoes, and pickled beets. A nice selection of sides, and what looks to be a very nice desert cabinet.
Staff is moving faster as the dinner crowd is coming in. Owner is on site.
Meatloaf is perfection. Two slices, and British style brown gravy. Mashed potatoes are rich and creamy, a butter finish. With that gravy they are better than my own…. Might be a splash of heavy cream in them.
Pickled beets are a good quality tinned, sliced. Deep earthy flavor. These are the more expensive on the list of dinner fair. Very good choice on the owners part. (That means the other canned or frozen items are very likely high quality.)
I just heard that all the dressings are homemade. So don’t expect florescent orange French! I think this is a great service to people who have food dye allergies.
Homemade French Onion soup, perfectly executed. The onions are caramelized, but not disintegrated, they are just the right spot to not fall apart, yet yield to the tooth.
As things are starting to pick up, the staff is adapting, the experienced waitress is swinging up and directing the newer maybe first time wait staff what to do and where to go. Owner, and manager are seating people and reciting specials from the board and the side that change so they are not on the menu.
Portions are generous, I am a big boy, and I am taking a box home with a late night snack of meatloaf and whipped potatoes and gravy on the both.
I think the most shocking is I have added no seasoning at the table. I didn’t think of it as everything was seasoned perfectly. No salt, no pepper, no ketchup…
I am so pleased I think I am in for a slice of something and a cup of coffee… you can tell a lot about a place if they don’t buy cheap coffee. Well coffee is not cheap, tastes mountain, not valley. So likely Hawaiian, could be Kona Gold, been a while that I was at a food show, but not cheap. Smooth and rich.
Added a slice of Baklava, and I am a Baklava snob. I prefer it room temperature, I didn’t ask for it to be warmed up, so it is not a flavorful as it could be. That said it is solid. Nice layering, rich with nuts, not drowning in syrup, so you can still taste the shuttle flavors. Off set by really good quality coffee, this makes a true treat. All for under $25.00.
Owner just stopped by and for a box for me. He defiantly is not a first time owner.
Another server just came on at 5:00 to take the heat off. The local older set in the area has a tenancy to eat out earlier in the evening. So it picked up quickly. This is my first time here, and it sounds like a lot of people have been before. Considering it has not been open a month yet. Traffic is good. Repeat business also speaks to the good quality I have experienced today.
I can highly recommend the location, the staff is great, and they all look like they are veterans, but one new young waitress.

Best hot turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. Fresh, real roasted turkey, with homemade mashies and gravy. Homemade gravy – no joke. Food was piping hot when served. Service friendly and exceptional. All staff engaging and welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

I have been there 3 times. All three times the service was pretty good. The dining room area is clean the restrooms are clean. The first time we went was the first Saturday they were open very very busy we waited 2 hours for breakfast that’s fine that’s great they just open very busy very happy for them. The second time was later in the evening 8:30 they close at 9:00 or 10:00 the service was good the waitress was good the food was good. The third time and last time I’ll ever be very very bad. Again the service was okay but the food sucked. Don’t ever order tuna bad looks like they never stirred it so it looked all brown and crusty and the temperature of it lets not even talk about that let’s say it was well at room temperature. The temperature for tuna salad is to be NOT above 40° if I were a betting man I would not be afraid to say it was probably 50 to 55 degrees. I do know this for a fact I have taken the ServSafe course I have worked in restaurants and to top it all off there was freaking hair in it the bread was on the stale side it was supposed to be cheese on it no cheese the FF were cold and double fried, they were hard dark brown and greased log meaning they fried them kept them in the fry basket and refried them when we ordered them horrible! First two times were good the third and final time was absolutely terrible!!
