Unfortunately every dish was not pleasant. The orange chicken, cashew chicken, and general tso were really chewy. The wonton soup had no flavor. The fried rice even had a weird aftertaste… We left all of this food behind, and didn’t eat enough to get full.. Bummer.

the food is amazing, this is not ur run of the mill American Chinese restaurant. It’s got authentic Chinese dishes if u know what to order. Noticed the bad reviews all from “gui lao”? Like they do not understand how good their chicken is. Service could be better but it’s not bad. The best part is it’s pricing is cheap for the portions they give.

We ordered steamed chicken, deep fried pork chop, stir fried rice noodle and water spinach. Very tasty! Recommend the chicken and the pork chop.
They serve desserts and fortune cookies for free after the meal.

Wild Garlic has become one of my favorite restaurants. This is one of very few places in the Greater Seattle area where I can get authentic Cantonese dishes.
The restaurant is quite small but I love it because I think we get more personalized service that way. When it is busy, the kitchen may be a bit slow but quality is never compromised so I have no problem even if I have to wait a bit once in a while. I really appreciate the consistent quality dishes produced by them.
Unlike many other Chinese restaurants, Wild Garlic does not have a tank for live seafood. Patrons can bring their own live seafood, and have their kitchen prepare your favorite seafood dishes at a nominal fee. I have not been disappointed thus far.

Good Chinese dishes at optimal price. Their HK style sweet and sour pork tastes just right…not too sweet, not too sour… We heard their roast duck is one of the best, we need to try next time

We love their delicious salt & pepper pork chop, eight treasures tofu clay pot, diced beef steak, pea vine with garlics, roasted duck, shrimps, crab & fish soup. Some special dishes must be ordered in advance for them to prepare such as roast pigeons, fresh shrimp, or lobsters. Prices are good. Many Cantonese families come here to enjoy their foods almost weekly! So glad to find a good Chinese Restaurant nearby!

This restaurant is a gem in Renton’s Fairwood neighborhood. Recommend this place for delicious, authentic Chinese food! My mom even comes up from Pierce County just for this restaurant – and y’all know how hard it can be to impress a Chinese mama.
Tonight we ordered the mapo tofu (we order this almost every time) a fish and fried tofu dish (first time trying and it was SO good), the garlic eggplant, and the Mongolian beef (not pictured be we ate it too fast).
Everything was stand out! My favorite was probably the fish and tofu dish that came out sizzling, but it’s honestly hard to pick a favorite.
Also you like eggplant, seriously don’t skip out on the eggplant! I’m salivating thinking about this dish.
They of course also have the standard orange chicken and such. They also have an awesome lunch combo with those American-Chinese options that we sometimes get too. It’s also very good.
Sit down service comes with free tea.
Unless you’re getting a combo, you do have to order rice separately with entrees.
Service is pretty basic but very fast – our drinks were never empty. What more can you ask for when just looking to eat delicious food.
Atmosphere is fine – clean and a good temperature, warm lighting.
Highly recommend eating family style so you can try more dishes! I don’t bother reviewing places often but really love the food at this place. Five stars for sure.

This was the perfect choice for date night!! The meat was tender, the honey walnut shrimp and sweet and sour chicken were crispy and flavorful!!! This will definitely be added to our eating out rotation! Decent prices for portion sizes!!!!
