Solid Food and Convenient Parking

Pho So 1 is a solid spot. I ordered the chicken stir-fry rice dish and it was very tasty. It also came with a side of broth and fish sauce, which was a nice touch.

I didn’t try the pho this time, but the bowls coming out to other tables looked great — definitely planning to try it next time.

Another plus is the free one-hour parking in the basement, which is really convenient. The only downside was figuring out the exit from the garage. It was a bit confusing, and I ended up going out the one-way the wrong direction ‍♂️.

Overall, good food and worth a visit. I’ll be back to try the pho next time.

Bún bò huế #1. The first time I visited, it was great (lunch time). For dinner, it tastes different, not sure why. But I believe it’s better than Bun Bo Hoang Lan
Plenty of room for seatings

Came in 15 minutes before close. Waiter was very rude. We were ordering takeout. We ordered. The takeout was lacking in meat. More basil and sprouts than meat. I had to add roast beef lunch meat to it. Will not be back. I used to love this place. So many better take out options. Ordered to large pho. One combo and one steak,

This place is truly a hidden gem for bun bo hue (which is their special). Ever since my sister recommended this place to me I have stopped by at least once a week without fail because I crave it so much. The soup flavor is just amazing. It’s the right amount of spicyness and somehow the veggies served on the side when dumped in the soup tastes so refreshing. The price is very reasonable as well ($15.99). Highly recommend if you are looking for some authentic bun bo hue!! The service is not stellee but that’s how you know the place is authentic lol. Plus the soup comes out super fast.

1st time here.

Had the brisket pho and it was what the doctor ordered. Tastes great and filling! Plenty of brisket and all the fixings. Had to ask for a little extra lime ‍ , but I do in most places.

Nobody was here because of the neighborhood, I imagine and being right before Thanksgiving, but this is a perfect option to get a quick, solid bowl a pho when across the street is busy.

The owner might want to smile a little more, but nothing wrong with the service. I enjoyed it immensely and honestly, I relate with the struggles of small business – esp in neighborhoods that are challenging.

Oh, the bathroom was so clean – compared to many other places, theee guys take care of the facilities.

Honestly, it’s quite safe. So you shouldn’t worry too much about that. Plus the parking lot is gated off nicely.

– underwhelming bun bo hue –

Food: 2 stars
Service: 2 stars
Price: 4 stars
Ambiance: 3 stars
Overall: 2.75 stars

I was craving bun ho hue and found this place from reddit, and I was so excited to try it so we got here shortly after 11 am on a Sunday. There was only one group dining at the time, and we ordered two bun bo hue special (spicy noodle soup special with beef, cinnamon pate, tendon, pork blood, and pork feet.

The veggie plate for the soup came first, and the veggies that come with bun bo hue is usually different than pho. I’m not a regular here, but there are purple cabbages, lettuce, basil, and something that looks like water spinach to me.

The food came shortly and the soup was more red than I’m used to. After adding tons of lime, the soup tasted delicious like other places. However, the pork blood makes the soup a bit bloody somehow, which I didn’t enjoy. I’m a big pork blood fan, but I passed it to my husband after one bite as I didn’t enjoy it here. The pork feet was soft and delicious. I didn’t taste any cinnamon from the pate, but maybe it’s just a name…?

We ordered a Vietnamese coffee but it never came.. I felt strange since all the groups came after us got their Vietnamese coffee but we were forgotten. The two soup bowls were around $36 after tax, which seems slightly more than their listing price online so I guess they just raised their price. It’s still cheaper than Bellevue price, nevertheless.

While I appreciate the tons of different stuff in the noodle soup, I didn’t enjoy the pork blood here and the soup was somewhat containminated imo. It’s unlikely for me to return as it’s far and they are known for their bun bo hue, which I didn’t really like that much. On the side note, the Christmas songs in Vietnamese that they were playing the whole time was entertaining.

This is the best Pho on the west coast. I know, because I’ve looked. There are so many regulars here, it’s like family. And pro tip: get a pork chop on the side. I have been coming here since 2009.

Still the best Bun Bo Hue in the Seattle area for me. It has all the proper fixings- pork knuckle and blood included- at a big portion and great price with lots of fresh veggies. I think they used to serve it with banana flower but didn’t get any this most recent visit. Still dang delicious as always regardless 🙂
