Yum! Just right for a hot summer day!
Purple Parrot serves food and ice cream, but we were here just for the ice cream.
And they serve both soft serve and hand dipped Toft’s ice cream.
Their location is perfect to East Harbor State Park. Located just outside the entrance and within an easy bike ride.
Besides the ice cream, the next best thing about this place is they have a covered and screened in area for you to enjoy your meal. Most ice cream stands you simply eat quickly before the ice cream melts!

I’ve always wanted to see what the Purple Parrot Ice Cream Bar was about especially driving by on our way home from East Harbor State Park. We arrived around 8pm and there was a long line! Which usually means you’re in for a treat. We ordered 3 small sundaes. Dirt, Almond Joy, and Hot Fudge. All were delicious and the family had a great time eating them. Also, my sundae did come with a cherry but my 4 year old grabbed it off quicker than I could snap the photo ☺️thank you Purple Parrot!

Such a great stop! I had the apple crisp cobbler and it was so good! They warm the cobbler up and then add the toppings. We sat in the little patio area and it was cute too…the flower pots are painted like ice cream cones! The staff was friendly and the prices were good for what we ate.

I had a hotdog with sauerkraut and a Put-in-Bay sundae (hot fudge sundae). It was a warm June day, but the ice cream was still solid. The peanut butter and chocolate candies on it were not frozen hard. There was plenty of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry on top. There is free parking in a gravel lot, and an outdoor shaded area to eat. Just down the road from the entrance to East Harbor State Park. Fast service, and the employees all were wearing masks and gloves during the COVIID-19 outbreak. 5 stars. Thank you!

Toft’s ice cream limited flavors, but lots of sundae options with other food items. Nice little place near East Harbour state park on the main road.
