We loved our date night to Silas. Amazing food & even better service. I loved the Salmon, my wife loved her Lamb. The Thai Crab Salad & Pineapple Upside Down cake still has us talking!

Wow! We haven’t been here since the fire and reconstruction and were so impressed by the new look. Absolutely beautiful. The soundproof glass walls were amazing. With all the traffic I can see why they invested in this.
Our waitress, Andrea, was amazing. Professional, prompt, funny, helpful, and more. We had a party of 6 and she gave everyone special attention.
The food was delicious. Each of us ordered something different and everyone loved what they got. We shared the cast iron cheese bread for an appetizer and the melon tray for dessert. Yum!
They were very busy so we recommend getting a reservation. We will be coming back for lunch and dinner again soon. What an amazing gem in Versailles!

Absolutely phenomenal farm to table restaurant in the middle of rural OH. They make everything from scratch.

My mother and I had the quiche, fries, poke bowl, burger, and salad. Best meal I’ve had in a while, and I come from a big city with lots of choices. Today’s meal blew me away. And their cocktail list is to die for.

Prices are also extraordinary here! I couldn’t believe the low cost for the amazing food I was served.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to travel to Ohio, and while there we had the pleasure of dining with friends at Silas, located on the corner of Main Street and Center Street. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful — warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed.

The food was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the Applewood smoked 22oz ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and packed with incredible flavor. It came with a salad topped with a truly outstanding dressing that complemented the meal perfectly. My wife chose the double smashed cheeseburger, and she couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right.

For dessert, we were lucky enough to try several creations made by Kim Davis, and they were phenomenal. The pecan pie was rich and perfectly balanced, the upside-down cake served with vanilla ice cream and pistachio crumb was both comforting and elevated, and the coffee crème brûlée paired with chocolate ice cream was an unforgettable finish to the evening.

Overall, it was an amazing dining experience from start to finish. If you find yourself in Ohio, this is a place you absolutely don’t want to miss.

The short ribs were 10/10. I’ve also never had a better espresso martini anywhere. Service had been wonderful each time we have dined.

Great for a business meeting, a nice dinner date, or upscale drinks. Atmosphere is superb, bathrooms are clean, and the location is nice. Some of the food combinations are a little much, but nice to try. I had grilled chicken with rice, coconut, some type of asian sauce, and plantains so it was quite a lot of different stuff. I also prefer simple but good sometimes. Our charcuterie board was very nice, and my wife said her burger was one of the best, and it was very juicy.

Update 2.0: We went back to visit for Valentine’s Day. Everything was delicious. Least favorite thing was the short rib from the vday menu, most favorite thing was the 1819 burger. Hot to go martini was so amazing – tasted like a chocolate covered cherry. Andrea our server was fantastic!

Update: We went back! This time with a reservation and I took photos! Food is so good. We got the burrata and pretzels as appetizers and wagyu short rib and pork chop as entrees. Everything was fantastic. I think the pork chop had a smidge too much sweetness but it was still delicious. We had to try some of their desserts and had the turtle cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. I would go back just to eat the sticky toffee pudding again!! 10/10 still recommend. Our bartender made amazing lemon drop martinis!!! Service was excellent by Sara, we will request her for our next visit!

We waited a looonnggg time to get served. We didn’t have a reservation and so we had to sit at the bar. The bartenders were slammed with drink orders and weren’t very attentive to us. We almost got up and left but we decided to stick it out. I’ve never been so happy to wait… the food was PHENOMENAL! I got the wagyu short rib, my husband got the chicken thighs and we had the burrata cheese appetizer. I wanted to lick my plate clean. Everything we ate was so fresh and different. I didn’t take any photos because I didn’t know it was going to be this amazing. I literally cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend a reservation.

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience! My partner and I recently enjoyed a five-course tasting menu that truly exceeded our expectations. We chose a vegetarian meal. From start to finish, every aspect of the meal was impeccable.

The dishes were of local produce, highlighting the freshest ingredients in the most exquisite ways. The flavors were complex and beautifully balanced. Each course was a delightful surprise, with thoughtful pairings that enhanced the overall experience.

The ambience was perfect, modern yet comfortable. The service (George) was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm.

Expect an expensive meal, w small portions. The chef does not circulate among the diners.

Overall, this was a dining experience that we’ll remember for a long time, and on par or better than chef’s tables in big metropolitan cities. If you’re looking for a place that offers top-notch cuisine, impeccable service, and a wonderful atmosphere, look no further. Highly recommended! Five stars all the way!

Review for Silas Creative Kitchen

I had heard endless praise about Silas Creative Kitchen from my buddy, who claimed it was the best restaurant he’d ever been to. This was a bold statement, considering his travels around the globe and his refined foodie palate. Skeptical but curious, I made him take me there while home for the holidays. Let me just say: I was completely blown away. Versailles, Ohio, is now home to the best dining experience I’ve ever had in my life.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by our server, Amy, whose energy set the perfect tone for the evening. Starting with a round of old-fashioned cocktails—each uniquely crafted and equally incredible—we moved on to appetizers that redefined my expectations. The fried mushrooms and pretzels were hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Special mention goes to the beer cheese, which was so good I joked about drinking it through a straw.

For entrées, I ordered the Wagyu prime rib, which was so tender it literally disintegrated under my fork. It was paired with a blend of flavors so unique and perfectly balanced, I was left speechless. My buddy had the scallops, and despite my initial doubts (because, let’s face it, Ohio isn’t exactly coastal), I had to admit they were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Paired with grits that even a non-grits fan like me couldn’t get enough of, it was clear this restaurant was working magic. Amy explained how the seafood is caught, flash-frozen the same day, and shipped directly to them, and the freshness was undeniable.

The menu changes frequently, which means my buddy has never had the same dish twice—another reason he swears by this place. And after this experience, I no longer doubt him.

As if the meal wasn’t impressive enough, I got to chat with Samantha, the general manager, who was as enthusiastic as she was knowledgeable. She shared the history of the restaurant, their sourcing methods, and their dedication to quality. When I jokingly debated between ordering another beer or another entrée, she surprised me by saying, “Order the beer—I’ve got you on the entrée.” Minutes later, she brought out a Korean barbecue dish that somehow topped everything else we’d eaten that night.

By this point, we were stuffed, but even the leftovers were incredible. My parents, who ate them the next day, couldn’t stop raving about the flavors.

Before leaving, we met the head chef—a genius in the kitchen but humble and approachable, like one of the guys. His passion for the craft was evident, and it made the whole experience even more memorable.

As a final touch, we left with complimentary chocolate bark (infused with dates and chili flakes—an unforgettable combo) and a goodie bag filled with whiskey, old-fashioned mix, and luxurious Hotel Versailles products.

Now, let’s talk about the price. For a meal of this caliber, you might expect to pay hundreds of dollars per person. But at $65 each for food, it was an absolute steal. My final bill, after adding drinks, came to $160, which felt far too cheap for what we received. Our tip? $200—because Silas Creative Kitchen deserves every bit of recognition for creating such an unforgettable night.

If you’re within a thousand miles of Versailles, Ohio, do yourself a favor and visit Silas. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience.
