Wow this place certainly has a unique menu with authentic dishes. If you are looking for spicy flavorful foods this is the place for you. Our server was extremely helpful with the menu and our million questions. They seem to have many repeat customers who were also helpful. This is more than a meal but an experience.

The dining room is well organized and put together. Clean, polished, and stacked.
Because its location is at one of the local intersections outside of downtown Ypsilanti, anyone can simply enjoy the view of traffic while dining.
As I look over the menu, I noticed some of the many exotic food items that were available. You’ll have to see the menu for yourself to understand what I mean. But, I am not that adventurous, so I ordered what I know I would eat.
The food was kinda so so! Barely any significant flavorings, the egg roll was stuffed with only beansprouts and, again, no significant flavor to tickle the taste buds.

Hellz ya! Don’t read Chinese or whatever language it is but the pictures will provide you enough for some awesome grub. Standard wonton soup, the sweet and sour got great reviews! Ordered the pork belly and it was magic with my taste buds! The chicken was good too. Lots of great food. Highly recommend!

This is it. This is the hidden gem that it seems Ypsilanti is missing. I’ve been spoiled by amazing *authentic* Sichuan food in Toronto where there is a plethora of restaurants to choose from across the city and suburbs. And yet, I’m willing to drive 45 minutes up the highway from Toledo after this discovery because it meets my high standards. Every dish I’ve encountered has been the epitome of delicious.
You have a smaller Americanized menu and a great amount of authentic Sichuan items to choose from especially. I don’t think you need to be adventurous to try the authentic part of the menu, the waitresses have all been patient and willing to describe to you different choices. Yes, you can get almond boneless chicken but you can also get Gong bao, or Dan Dan Noodles, or steamed pork with mustard greens (hot and steaming pork belly served over pickled greens).
The restaurant is spotlessly clean, every single dish I’ve tried here has been pleasing and fresh and unique. The authentic Chinese menu is served family style, so be prepared to bring a friend or have leftovers. If you’re looking to wet your palate but are unsure, try the Gong Bao chicken, it’s spicy but manageable and so flavorful. The shredded beef with fried chili pepper is spicier but amazing and light as the main vegetable is celery. I never knew celery could be so amazing in a stir fry.
You can’t go wrong, the kindness of the owners and waitresses and the authentic delicacies they serve make this a worthwhile gem to enjoy. Get to it, Ypsilanti!

Very friendly, amazing portions! I absolutely loved the food… The poached eggplant is an absolute must try! The beef lo me in and human chicken were excellent as well! I will be going back 🙂

Scallion lamb does not have scallions. It’s full of white onions with very little amount of spring onions. It also don’t have any wok hei, which was the main reason I ordered this dish. With 18 dollars I was expecting more meat than onions
Hot and sour soup more on the sweet side and want sour enough. But worth the price
Rice is good
Would have given four star, but I thought the restaurant is a bit overrated on google

First time there today. They’ve found a new regular in me for sure. I feel like I could eat the salt miners eggplant and cucumber salad everyday for the rest of my life and be content lol. Also got tofu with mixed vegetables, which *looked* bland but actually had a lot of flavour (msg? Probably, yum.) best Chinese food I have ever had, with more unique options than I’ve seen anywhere else. Service was fast and inside of the restaurant looked clean, too.

Brightly colored on the outside, unassuming on the inside. Small laminated flier on the door advertising brown sugar jelly. Yes, we have found it. The place in the area with amazing, generously portioned Chinese (Sichuan) food. I ordered the fish and lamb soup, and taro milk tea. Fragrant and soul warming, the soup was served atop a small flame to keep the soup piping hot through the meal. Will return here for certain to try other tasty fare.

Delicious steamed fish just like Grandma Wing used to make. They have two menus: one with more traditional dishes and one with dishes nite common in the US. Very good food!
