I had a very disappointing experience at Elephant Bar and Grill. The malai kofta was honestly the worst I’ve ever had — the taste was completely off and felt like pure stupidity in terms of preparation. On top of that, the biryani had an excessive amount of food coloring, which made it unappetizing.
The service made the experience even worse. The server behaved very rudely, didn’t listen properly, and didn’t take our order carefully at all. He barely attended to us, and at one point even forced us to take food that wasn’t good. Extremely unprofessional.
We also ordered the mixed platter, and they didn’t even include the shrimp that was supposed to come with it. Overall, the behavior was unacceptable and the quality of food was terrible.

Our first time here and definitely very delicious Indian food. if you are looking for an explosion of flavor for your taste buds, let me tell you, look no further you are the right place. To start, it is very clean. Staff is ready and polite to serve. Authentic is all I’m going to say.

The food was outstanding — but the experience begins the moment you walk in. We were greeted with genuine warmth and treated like guests in someone’s home. The service was welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful, just as it has been every time I’ve visited. Tina and Rohit both provided excellent and hospitable service.
We ordered a generous spread: aloo gobi, vegetable korma, shahi paneer, butter chicken, rice, garlic naan, and chicken tandoori — and every dish was excellent. My husband says the butter chicken is the best he’s ever had.
The true standouts were the chicken tandoori and the garlic naan. The tandoori arrived sizzling, perfectly seasoned, with onions that were lightly caramelized and sweet. The flavors and textures across the meal were spot-on.
This was easily one of the best meals we’ve had out in a long time. A must-visit for anyone who loves incredible food paired with warm, gracious hospitality.

Our first time here and everything was absolutely excellent. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The restaurant was very clean, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and our waiter, Ali, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and professional.
From start to finish, it was a great experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service!

The Hungry Elephant has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Visalia. The food is phenomenal, the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is great! We recently catered a lunch event with them at my job and they were incredibly accommodating about the large order and even threw in some freebies. I bring all of my family and friends here whenever I can, and suggest you do the same! Best Indian food in Visalia, hands down! Support your local businesses!!

Very clean and comfortable environment. The staff were friendly and courteous, eager to recommend dishes to try. The food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. The portion size was appropriate for the price.
We have been here before and every visit has left us with a marvelous dining experience.

I visited the restaurant on Thanksgiving evening with my friends. We ordered Kadai Chicken, Lamb Curry, and Goat Curry, along with Garlic Naan and plain roti. The food was well cooked, but we found a long hair in one of the breads. Honestly, it completely ruined the experience, especially since I was very hungry. We decided to leave.
I called the manager, and his response was simply, “It’s okay,” followed by an offer not to charge us for the Garlic Naan. I was shocked by his attitude and left the restaurant. Regardless of the situation, every restaurant should maintain proper hygiene. They must follow health guidelines and should never compromise customers’ well-being.

Unfortunately I could not take more pictures but attached the transaction as a proof and one pic

Samosa were totally stale by smell from stuff inside and tasteless. Gobi Manchurian was undercooked which is not eatable. Samosa Chat, Dal and Chicken Tikka were considerably good and eatable amongst the order we placed. Restaurant Staff who answered our call dealt the issue extremely bad based on the reply we heard on call about the stale samosas that “We have been serving them all day and we had no problem”. The problem was they didn’t want to do anything about the customer’s bad experience. Not a recommendable experience to anybody and not worth the money u pay for food.
