Everything that I had here fit my pallet perfectly, it is all about the garlic. The seafood linguine that I had was phenomenal, the marinara sauce on it was just the right consistency, deep flavors but not overpowering the freshness of the seafood, along with the El Dante linguine, it was almost perfect. The shrimp po-boy was on point, larger crispy breaded shrimp in a warm bun over a bed of slaws. If I live around here I would definitely come here more often to explore the rest of the menu. Great service! Strongly recommend.
Our server was a lovely young lady who supplied our every need. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
We had reservations for right when they opened…it wasn’t needed as they weren’t busy, but was helpful to save time since our table was already set.
We ordered quite a bit of food for 5:
-calamari fritti $17: a bit too much breading and salty
-lemon garlic scallops $28: pricier end, but cooked well
-cioppino $33: seafood bowl (that I didn’t eat), but everyone else enjoyed
-linguini with white clams $25: good, clams had a bit of sand
-wild alaskan halibut $36: a bit dry, probably avoid this one
-baja fish tacos $19: loaded, rice was good
-caesar salad $13: heavy on dressing, would ask on the side
-fish and chips (4pc cod) $20: value good but too much breading. waffle fries and coleslaw were good
We were celebrating a birthday so we brought our own dessert. They didn’t charge us a plating fee which was nice.
There is seating indoor and outdoor.
Parking in the plaza.
FOOD:
Calamari fritti: delicious
Scallops (6): fantastic
grilled tilapia: yummy
PRICE:
On par. Not cheap, not exorbitant.
WINE:
Decent wine selection. I paired my food with a Sauvingon blanc from Napa.
SERVICE:
Attentive and wonderful!
ATMOSPHERE:
Low-key and casual. You’re not here for the vibes. You’re here for no-frills great seafood.
Overall I am really chuffed we found this place. I have been hanging out for fish and chips of ages…and this definitely hit the mark! We will definitely be back!
I have tried different pasta dish such as seafood linguini or Linguini Portofino and they were delicious. And today i have ordered one of my favorite La Pesco Fritos Mixto which is fried fish and chips with prawn and scallop. It is crunchy and tasty. I normally don’t eat cold slaw but this is a exception as i can taste thr freshness of thr cabbage.
In terms of decor, it is a typical small strip mall small restaurant but it made up by delicious food with great value.
Also the server i believe his name is John and I think he is very attentive and he is checking on me whenever i just look up and he will get me what i needed.
I didnt have desert tonight but there tiramisu is also epic!!
It’s a small neighborhood restaurant, tucked away in a strip mall between a Safeway and a sub shop, and it would be easy to miss if it weren’t for the large blue banner out front. Although it’s a casual spot, the tablecloths dress it up a bit. The rest of the decor is unimaginative. Pricing seems to be bit high compared to other mid-range restaurants in the area.
The menu is large and varied but I was in the mood for a typical lunch of fish and chips. My order consisted of four pieces of deep fried cod served with waffle fries and coleslaw. I wish I’d chosen something else. I found the thick coating to be overly greasy and the fish to a bit gelatinous. The coleslaw and fries were just ok.
On a positive note, the service was very good and everything including the restroom was squeaky clean.
I make it a point to support small family owned businesses and I really wanted to like this place. Maybe I’ll give them another chance at dinner someday. In the meantime, there are plenty of highly rated alternatives in the area.
