Decent Thai, higher prices than I would like to pay for the quality received but still worth a visit to quell the desire for Thai. Staff is courteous, portions are nice. I went with a group about three times and each time one of the guys with the group requested no shrimp or onions because he is allergic. The first two times his dish came out with shrimp and onions but no peanuts, good thing he checked but the third visit Tara got it correct. I don’t know if the server was the disconnect or the kitchen didn’t pay attention. The atmosphere and decor are pretty cool, inside was clean, thanks Tara Thai.

Great value Thai food with a good variety of options. I want to specifically highlight the eggplant – absolutely order this. Beautifully caramelized sweet soy sauce, it was cooked to perfection, and came in a great portion size. I will honestly go back for that dish alone!

Tried three items from their menu:
1. Tom Yum Soup: It was kind of okay. I expected it to be better.
2. Tod Mun: It was so yummy. It comes with a relish which is sweet and has a punch of lime. Loved it.
3. Frozen Ice-cream: It was too good. Superb!
Behavior: 10/10

This place is my go-to Thai place in C’ville.

Every dish I’ve had here has been delicious, and I’m surprised I haven’t written a review yet.

My favorite dish is the arkhanay noodles. They’re wide noodles with seafood and topped with crab in a delicious brown sauce. And of course, their pad Thai, fried rice, and Thai iced tea is all A1. This time I tried their Kanom Jeeb appetizer and it tasted really good – I retry much a steamed crab + pork dumpling topped with scallions. Their Thai iced coffee is good too.

Seriously if you haven’t been here you definitely have to try it because they have never missed.

I had green curry, and I turned out not to be a big fan of it, but that’s just cause I don’t like coconut that much. It had good spice, and not an overpowering sweetness. The chicken caught me off guard because it’s not tender, BUT if Tai curry is your thing, they give big portions here, and everyone else if my group liked it. The place is clean, it’s not very modern, but the staff is friendly and it’s in a good location of town. Also, the flat rice noodles were pretty tasty. If you’re a fan of Tai, you’ll like it.

We’ve ordered shrimp shumai, tom yum soup and papaya salad. Shrimp shumai was delicious! However the papaya salad was so bitter that we couldn’t eat it. We told the server about it and she apologized for it and didn’t charge us for it. Now about the tom yum soup. I think the soup didn’t have the punch that it should have. The quantity was okay, but the taste could’ve been far better!

I adore Thai food, and I had a pretty hard time finding a good Thai restaurant in town. I was so happy when I finally found this place! The location is pretty good, parking is always easy. The food tastes wonderful, I especially love their green curry and Tom kha soup. Their lunch specials are wonderful – I seriously could not believe how much food there was for only $10, and it was very yummy. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was very attentive and very aware of when we needed more water. I’ve been many times now, and I will be back many more 🙂

I normally eat at a Tara Thai near Tyson’s Corner, where we’ve had great experiences. We expected something similar here, but were disappointed. Our calamari appetizer did not have any flavor and was pretty small for the price. In general, portions were smaller than they should have been, given the price. Service was okay. The restaurant at a few bugs flying around too. Would not recommend this place.

If you’re looking for a fast food version of Thai, this is your place. It looks nice when you enter but doesn’t hold a candle to other Thai restaurants in town. If this were the only place in town I might come back, but since it isn’t, I won’t. First and foremost, my server dismissed my food allergies (I ordered food that shouldn’t have had cross contamination but since I have delayed reactions I have no way of knowing if they listened as of the time of writing this review). My appetizer and food were served at the same time, with no spices or limes offered for my pad Thai. The server ignored me and I had to flag them down for everything, even though I was the only customer in there at 5:30 pm – all I needed was my order taken, my water, and then limes. Oh, and the check. There was never a quality check or anyone visible without me making it very clear I needed them. I guess I can see why this place isn’t busy during peak business hours! Food came very quickly, I’ll give them that – almost too quickly! Save your time and money and visit Monsoon Siam, Thai 99, Thai Cuisine, or Lemongrass instead of this establishment.

Update: they definitely didn’t take my allergy concerns into consideration and I am now sick.
