Stopped in before the Matt Rife show for a bite to eat and some drinks. We ordered pretzel sticks and a margarita pizza, which was good but the pretzel sticks were warm on the outside and cold on the inside. The coffee was fair but received the milk in a small ketchup container (so strange). Overall is was a good location right before an event at the prudential center.

This place was so good. The pizza was awesome – perfectly crispy crust with just the right amount of char, amazing flavorful sauce, and super fresh ingredients. You can really taste the quality. The mozzarella was fresh, and everything just worked together perfectly.
On top of that, the service was outstanding. The employees were so friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. It made the whole experience even better.

I came here before the Brandy & Monica concert. Really nice atmosphere. They were even playing Brandy & Monica, which was fun. I sat at the bar and my bartender was super sweet. I do have to say though, that she didn’t make the best drink. I ordered the cold fashion. It’s made with cold brew, and this was the sweetest old fashion ever. It wasn’t balanced at all, and I barely tasted the whiskey. It also comes in a very small, uneventful glass, and for the price I was charged ($15+20% gratuity, bringing the total to $20), I’d expect a mixologist-esque cocktail. This drink was poorly made directly into the glass. No sort of mixing or shaking at all, and it tasted as such. I kept the tab open, hoping it’d be a good enough drink for me to want to order another one, but I was good after that drink. Also, the menus were sticky and dirty. I wouldn’t recommend, unfortunately, mostly because of the drinks being so pricey, yet so lackluster. I don’t mind tipping 20% because I know the bartenders work hard, but the drinks need to be good.

My son suggested this place for my dad, him, and me to grab a bite and a beer before going to the Devils game, and though the Devils didn’t play particularly well that night, dinner and beers before the game were fast and tasty, and it was great to watch all together as 3 generations of Brogowski men.
The atmosphere here is definitely geared towards fans, with the bar a bit more of a young crowd, so we sat at a table and they got us our burgers and sandwich so quickly it made my head spin! Everything was done well, and he taught me about splitting the G on a pint of Guinness, which I’ve been doing naturally after learning how to properly drink a Guinness from an Irish friend many years ago. 😉

I stopped by American Whiskey in Newark this past Saturday after attending a rock concert at the Prudential Center with a friend, and it was the perfect spot to grab drinks afterward. The atmosphere was lively and fun, exactly what we needed after the show.
Alex, our server, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Her service truly made our experience even better.
We had a great time and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I arrived Saturday night to have dinner with friends. We were a large party (9) so the staff directed us to the 3rd floor where there was additional seating for larger parties. The food we ordered was more than 1 hour and 30 minutes late in arriving so I had to cancel some of the food and settled for pizza which seemed to come out much quicker than the food.
The manager did deduct items from the bill.
The wait staff was overwhelmed and couldn’t tell us why our food wasn’t arriving but other tables were getting their food. I’ll never attend this venue again.

When I arrived, I used the men’s room. There was no soap. I informed the staff, who were unable to even provide any hand sanitizer. Two hours later, just before I left, I used the men’s room again. There was still no soap.
As far as I know, that’s the same men’s room that the male employees use. If any of them utilized it during the couple of hours that I spent there… who knows?
And much of the food that we ordered never arrived. When we spoke with the manager about that, HE exhibited the appropriately apologetic attitude and comped us quite a bit.
But throughout the evening, the staff was extremely non-apologetic despite their many errors and delays.

Everybody likes to trash this place but honestly couldn’t ask for more when you’re going here before a devils game or concert at prudential center. I’m not sure what people expect out of a bar/restaurant that is right next door to a stadium/arena that is of course going to be packed right before an event. The food and drinks come out super quick IF YOU GET A TABLE, especially considering how packed the place is. We were seated immediately (40 minutes before puck drop). The pizza came out in like 60 seconds, not sure how the waiter even maneuvered back and worth to the kitchen through all of those people that quick. Pizza had great flavor and came out hot. Chicken tenders and fries were kind of lacking, tiny little fries like it was the end of the bag or something and only three chicken tenders on the small side. I understand it’s the location but for the price I would like less fries and maybe one or two more chicken tenders. Pretzels were awesome but the nachos were just alright. Still would 100% recommend if your hungry or looking to pregame before an my event at prudential center.

We came on a Saturday, before an event at Prudential. Were told to go upstairs because of crowding and long wait lines. Seated at 545 it’s 7:17 not even the appetizer was brought out. Got out drinks 50 minutes in, just a party of 2 ordered a canned beer and a coke. Not blaming the server because it was obvious they were understaffed to seat all the guests they did. Not the only one who ended up paying for the drinks and leaving.
Advice to management: dont offer the upstairs seating if you know you can not provide the same service as the main floor.

What a bad experience. We started by ordering 5 old fashions and we all had the same reaction when tasting them. They took them back and 20 minutes later they brought us new ones. Better but not great.
The food experience was worse. One side of the table got their meals and about 15 minutes later the other side got theirs. Then a short time later we got our appetizers. The food was horrible. My burger was like a hockey puck. Nobody enjoyed their meals.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will say the waiter was very good and tried to rectify things but it was out of his control.
