My family and I have been going to Tenzan 89 for a few years. Overall, very good sushi. Our server, Sam is amazing, friendly, and personal customer service. Great lunch specials 7 days a week.

The sushi quality is very good! When we get delivery, it’s pretty consistent and high quality. When we dine in, the experience is not as good. The menus have updated prices taped on it. The bathroom needs to be updated and is not kept clean. The toilet seat has permanent stains on the underside and is very loose (I tried to fix it with my tools but could not). Please either print out new menus or make digital menus, and please update the bathroom!

We LOVE coming to Tenzan! We adore Sam, he is the best server and has the most amazing energy ! They also have a great Happy Hour! My favorite roll is the Pink Lady Roll, it has shrimp tempura , spicy tuna and avocado all rolled in soy paper which creates the perfect bite. Can’t go wrong with their ramen and Sashimi meal, always so good. Thank you Tenzan!

This is hands down the best sushi place on the UES. I order delivery from here at least once a week and the sushi is always so fresh and delicious. The service at the restaurant is also amazing and everyone there is so nice. I’ve tried most of the other places in the area and no where ever comes close to Tenzan. Highly recommend the fire island roll, sweetheart roll, sake roll and all of their classic rolls.
