I was visiting one of our plants and was looking for a good meal after a long day. I love a good low country boil and having lived in Louisiana for a while, I love me some Cajun cooking. There were so many good items on the menu I really couldn’t choose, so I asked the person at the counter and they recommended the seafood dirty rice. Many, you could tell this was made with the freshest shrimp and one, if not the best, andoulli sausage I have had. The rice was so fluffy and filled with just the right amount of seasoning. Not an overpowered mix of flavors meant to burn your mouth so you can’t taste anything. The fresh ingredients and the perfect seasoning made me crave a second bowl, but there wouldn’t have been room in my belly. The praline cornbread was a southern desert perfect end to a surprise delicious Cajun meal…in Mt. Holly?!?!? I did meet the owner/chef and he was delightful. I was so shocked with my meal, I had gone back and read the reviews. I had already read how talented, friendly and caring he was. The reviews were correct. He said he was going to relocate the business and I truly hope he does as every time I get a chance to eat here, I am going to. I have already told a lot of my friends about the food and experience. I really hope this place grows with love of food and customers. It would be a tragedy for a chef this good not to bring these delicious flavors to the people Thanks for the hospitality, the great food and the talk Chef Rex

Stopped in here with my mom on the way home after a day of shopping in Charlotte and let me just tell you…..
Do NOT sleep on this place! It is a small little joint that you might not notice unless you were looking for it but the food was amazing!! I had the BB boil bag with shrimp, snow crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausage with Cajun garlic seasoning and it was perfect. Just the right amount of spice. I didn’t even finish half of it! Great portions. My mom had the gumbo and she loved it too!

The delicious savory seafood aroma hits you immediately as you enter the door, quickly making your mouth start to salivate. The quaint restaurant size gives an exclusive feel as seating is first come, first serve. Their meals didn’t disappoint us either! Our group of 6 had the Seafood Boil, Seafood Mac and Cheese, Seafood Etouffee, plus a Crab Cake meal. Wish I took pics of my food before chowing down!
We will be coming back. Even our friend from Mexico is excited to have dinner here again.

Where do I begin… The overall service was immaculate. I first placed a to go order but when I arrived I decided to dine in instead. Rex and Davita were very kind and made me feel very welcome. The food was very tasty! It came out hot and fresh! I really enjoyed my entire experience from beginning to end. Great customer service = Customer Satisfaction, which people these days rarely value! I will be returning again! Thank you!

In my childhood hometown of Mt Holly, NC for my Aunt’s 100th birthday, we discovered this place looking for seafood. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in our small town, so my wife, an old friend and I went to check it out.
Small place tucked into the corner of small businesses in a strip. Street parking right outside and I believe a parking lot a block away. Very homey and friendly place with several tables inside and out. A cool day so the door to the street was propped open.
I imagine the majority of their business is carry out. We were the only customers inside but several people came to pick up food while we there. A small menu but good variety of items with huge possibilities of combinations. My wife and friend ordered the BB Special, consisting of steamed shrimp, snow crab, potatoes, onions and sausage. I selected the Crawfish Etouffee and asked for it extra spicy. I also asked for an order of fried grits.
As we waited on our food we were given free Praline Cornbread, because it was our first visit. We sampled those while we waited for our meals. Drinks were bottles only and tea was only flavored ones. Our friend chose the Mango tea, Raspberry for me and Diet Coke for my wife.
After awhile our food arrived, in take out containers, along with plastic silverware. That was disappointing. The girls were supplied plastic bibs and plastic gloves. They enjoyed their seafood boil quite a bit. Several sauces were brought including lemon pepper, spicy and Cajun, none of which were very spicy.
I was brought the Crawfish Etouffee, also in a to-go bowl. It was tasty but very little heat. And I believe I was not clear enough on my grits. Instead of fried grits I was brought a Fried Seafood bowl with fried shrimp and fried oysters on top of grits. It looked good so I didn’t say anything. The fried bowl was actually spicier and better tasting than the Etouffee. Just quite a bit of oils on it.
Food was very good. Service was great. I would recommend they get some plates and actual silverware for the few that eat there. And cups with ice for bottled drink, on request. It would make a big difference in the ambience. And maybe check their spices to better determine the heat for those that request it. And a service fee for credit card use.

We discovered Seafood Boil NC at Taste Of Charlotte this year and couldn’t wait to visit after tasting their Alligator Voodoo. We visited on June of 2023 and the food exceeded our expectations. The FLAVORRRRRRR is flavoring y’all!! I’d first like to highlight the customer service. They are SO WELCOMING and attentive! I felt right at home here. We were immediately greeted with smiles and compliments when we entered! Questions about the menu were welcomed and we were checked on throughout our meal but not in a way that was annoying or interrupting. The Seafood Egg Rolls and Praline Cornbread were OMG GOOD! My husband and I took a bite and just stared at each other LOL! You know that wide-eyed, “Oh, they take their food SERIOUS-SERIOUS!” look! It was THAT good!!! Ever heard someone say, “You can taste the love in the food”? It’s like THAT! I also recommend the Seafood Dirty Rice and Alligator Voodoo. Last but not least, I want to point out the cleanliness of this establishment. The white dinnerware, silverware, tables, floor, and countertops were spotless. The owners clearly take pride in the food and service they provide and I can’t say enough about how impressed we were. It was such a refreshing experience! We’ll be back again, again and again!
I have one small suggestion for the owner: If you add a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream on the side of the Beignet Pound Cake it’d take it from a solid 10 to Over-The-Top! Thanks again for having us 🙂

This dish was absolutely satisfying anyone craving real North Carolina seafood
I also had the Seafood Mac-N-Cheese (Lump Crab & Shrimp), and it is top 3 mack n cheese dishes I have ever had. If you have ever eaten at the REAL Beechers in Seattle Washington, this is equally as delicious!

We were greeted by friendly associates. They took time to explain what was included in the boil and the additional options we could add. There’s different seasonings and seafood combinations to choose. The basic boil comes with corn on the cob, red potatoes and your voice of smoked sausages.
It is a store front restaurant, not very big but very clean and warm and welcoming environment. Most people ordered takeout. It’s definitely a place to add to favorites.
