Meche Cucina in Cary is an absolute gem. It’s a family-run restaurant, and you can feel that warmth the moment you walk in. The ambience is inviting and relaxed, the kind of place where you immediately settle in and know you’re going to have a great meal.
The hosts are incredibly gracious and attentive, always checking in without being intrusive. You genuinely feel taken care of. Portion sizes are generous, so come hungry.
The menu has fantastic variety, including plenty of vegetarian options. The cauliflower tacos were fire — perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The chilaquiles went down really well with my little one, which says a lot. The salsas are the bomb, fresh and vibrant with just the right kick. The verde salad was generous, delicious, and surprisingly filling.
They also have a great lineup of cocktails and mocktails, so everyone at the table is covered. And do not skip dessert — the tres leches is indulgent and moist, and the churros are the perfect sweet finish.
Conveniently located in the Publix complex on Kildaire Farm Road with plenty of parking, Meche Cucina checks every box. Overall, five stars. I’d love to come back during the day to enjoy the outdoor seating.
Highly recommend.

Finally! A Mexican restaurant to rave about in Cary. I almost want to keep it a secret… Ambiance, check. Great service, check. Delicious food that comes out quick, check and check. Overall was very pleased with the whole experience. We didn’t try the drinks or dessert but both looked good on other tables. I had the Barbacoa Flautas and my husband had the mole enchiladas. My flautas were good and if you like your mole sauce sweet then get the enchiladas. But the star of the show was the Sopesitos Cochinita Pibil. Wow. The flavor was amazing. The meat was tender. Everything worked like a dance. All the meat was cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go back and try the tacos

Meche is phenomenal. A friend recommended their house specialty, mole enchiladas, and they exceeded expectations. Chips and salsa are house made and very good. Margarita was great, and also really enjoyed their Alma Viejo cocktail. It was bourbon, mezcal, ancho chile syrup, and bitters—kind of smoked old fashioned meets Manhattan. Looking forward to going back and trying dessert—they have a warm chocolate torte with chile powder served with ice cream. Otherwise, people at the restaurant are super friendly and passionate about their cuisine and drinks. I came on a slow, cold, post-Thanksgiving night, and felt like I got a custom culinary tour from Miguel.

I’m picky. It’s rare I find a place locally I want to return to but I’m already planning my next visit to Meche Cocina. The food was the best Mexican I’ve had in this area. It was fresh and delicious. I’m so glad this family-owned business is nearby! The chips & salsas, including the habanero salsa made with peppers grown in front of the restaurant, were excellent. They paired well with my michelada. I had the taco trio. All were tasty – the fish was my favorite. My husband had pork belly something or other and he enjoyed it. Next time I’ll try a margarita! And dessert. The desserts sounded amazing but I ate more than usual because my food was so good so no room.

Tried this place on a whim for lunch. Such a good choice. The food was amazing. I had the skirt steak tacos and my coworker had the enchiladas mole. Just awesome. Wish I had taken a picture because they were plated beautifully too. The atmosphere is excellent; bright beautiful deco, cloth napkins, non crowded seating, and a view of a very calming water fountain and pond. The deserts were great too and those i have pictures. Will absolutely be returning as i can.

We had such a great experience here! Food is delicious and so fresh. I have not had better Mexican food anywhere else in the area. Drinks are really good, you can tell that they use fresh juices for their cocktails and the staff is attentive and wants you to love everything! Highly recommend the tuna tostada but everything we had was fantastic!

I just went to this restaurant Monday, what an amazing experience! The food was excellent quality and SO delicious!!!
I’ll definitely recommend to everyone, I want them to prosper and stay open!! We need more restaurants like this versus the 20 page menu ones.
Desserts were amazing too! Maybe a good option for a quick date of drinks a dessert?
But if you have time for the whole experience you will NOT regret it

This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. I got the tuna tostada and the barbacoa flautas and they were both incredible. They had fantastic fresh chips and salsa as well. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. I will certainly be back!

Gorgeous view, delicious and wonderful service.
I visited Meche during lunch with two friends. The restaurant as shown in the pictures is spacious, great comfy chairs and elegant. We had the view of the pond with water feature and it was awesome!
Our server was Miguel C and he was very kind and recommended several items in menu and was very attentive of our table. He stopped by multiple times to make sure we were doing well and kept and eye on our drinks to be refilled in time.
They serve white and yellow seasoned tortilla chips that were so incredible and two types of salsa that were good but I liked the green one that was not too spicy and had a wonderful cilantro taste.
I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas with corn tortillas instead of flour. They were very flavorful and the rice and beans that came with it were delicious as well. My friend had the carnitas tacos and said they were amazing.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and was very clean. The outside sitting for fall or spring will be great specially sitting by the water side or with kids that could be more entertained outside.
I look forward to returning to this restaurant with my hubby and friends.
